vishpala
So I have a digital copy of GTAV (legit) not through steam and it is installed on a secondary hard drive. When I chose the game path I have no option to click on, I have no Rockstar game folder. The only option even close to that is a GTAV.exe which doesn't work as a game path. At least when I try to use it the game fails to load with a "gta v exited unexpectedly". Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. Any help would be really appreciated. Stephen Winfield
Create a Shortcut file of your GTAVLauncher and save it somewhere other than your game directory. Right click and go to Properties. in the Target box, it will show a directory to the .exe file, ie: "C:/ProgramFiles/RockStarGames/GTAVLauncher.exe" - after the end quotation marks, put in a space, then "-verify" (with quotation marks.) So in the Target box it should say something like: "C:/ProgramFiles/RockStarGames/GTAVLauncher.exe" "-verify" Hit Apply/Ok and run the launcher. Should verify your game files and download any corrupted ones, then the game should boot. Let me know if this worked.
vishpala
I put the shortcut into my c: drive and it's target is still E:\GTAVLauncher.exe
Stephen Winfield
Have you tried re-installing the game @vishpala . This might be the easiest option to fix the problem.
