It couldn't have been recently! Glimmering in the rays of light that bounce off them, the doors of The Doppler cinema remains sealed, like the gunmetal grey vaults that secure the dollars owned by hundreds of civilians. It is a tragedy that those who have never seen "Bitch in the trunk." or "Let's do it all again, again." will never get to sit in those scarlet chairs and nibble on popcorn while watching them on the big screen. It is apparent that the Doppler has a minimal selection of movies to watch, perhaps that could explain the cause of a lack of screenings. 20 Years ago, the Doppler cinema opened its doors for the very first time in a grand, traditional way. Parents with their children were buzzing to watch the new films and could not contain their excitement any longer. They would dash to the popcorn, fill up their tubs, grab their drinks and prepare themselves for the movie to start. Despite only two films ever screening at the Doppler, people would not stop flooding through its doors. So, what happened? Did people get sick and tired of the two films? Perhaps crime in the area put people off. Maybe one day, it will open once more with some different movies to screen.
