You can use it to see how easily it would be to kill someone and it generally makes the HUD look untidy. It should only be visible for MD and maybe police, everyone can see their own health anyway. It would be better served as an area to put an icon to show if a certain person is talking, if you decide to not put names of people talking in an area of the screen.
