Melon Grove Cafe

A Change
Nearly three years ago Autumn Hurst and a small group of friends established Waterfelons to help those in need find their bearings within the chaotic city that is Los Santos, even though shes the last one standing from the OG crew Waterfelons have remained and thrived through the years, teaching both criminals and civilians how to navigate the city. They never judge what road you decided to go down, just wanting the same opportunities for everyone to achieve what they dream to achieve. After nearly three years Autumn has helped guide hundreds of people, the want to help those in need becoming part of her day to day life. With food costs alongside general living expenses rising she wanted to provide a small relief. At first it started out with cheap vending machines within Pink Cage but she wanted to do more on a bigger scale, that's when the idea for Melon Grove Cafe first came.

Our Promise
Melon Grove Cafe was made to help give everyone a second chance at life. If you are down on your luck and the prices of food is something that you can't keep up, know that the Melon Grove Cafe will always be affordable, not only on a day to day basis but we will regularly open up soup kitchen where no matter your situation you will be guaranteed a hot meal and service with a smile. We at Melon Grove promise that all profit made will go back into the cafe, whether that be giving our employees a comfortable salary in the ever rising economy or running various free raffles from meal vouchers to cars to even apartments/houses, the more money we make the more we are able to give back to the community through these ever tiresome times.

Goals
-Fully refurbish the Little Teapot into the Melon Grove Cafe

-Gain regular customers and become a hot spot within Los Santos
-Throw regular events showcasing what the city has to offer from open mic nights, karaoke nights, poetry readings ect

-Establish business connections with a mechanic shop for when we open up deliveries

The Hunt

Autumn and Louise were doing there daily check ins when they started talking about the possibility of a legal side to Waterfelons in the way of a non profit cafe, Autumn already knew the location she wanted, the little teapot cafe on harwick avenue Autumn showed Louise but said she was unsure who the owner was.

That evening Louise headed to gov where she was told she would need to speak to Olive about the cafe however they wasn't around so gov gave Louise Olives email and told her to email all the details and plan over about the cafe.

The next morning Louise sent the email containing all the plans for the cafe and asking for help to track down the owner. A few weeks had passed and she hadn't heard anything so she decided to take a drive to gov and ask if there was a update she was told that there wasn't one, feeling eager Louise asked if she could have the details of the owner so she could try and track them down herself, gov agreed and handed over the owners name and phone number.

Louise wasted no time she quickly sent a message to the owner asking if he would be willing to sell the cafe and explaining what Waterfelons wanted to do with the cafe. A few weeks went by and Louise hadn't recieved any reply to her message, but she wasn't giving up, Autumn had her heart set on this location so Louise wanted to try everything she could to get it! Louise headed to legion and asked people if they knew Tim Zvim many people said no until someone said yes and was able to tell her he worked for the taxi company and had a friend called Terrance who worked for MD, Louise headed to MD and asked if Terrance was around but unfortunately he wasn't however someone overheard who she was looking for and was also a friend of tims they gave her a different email to contact him on.

Louise sent the email and got a reply a few days later, Louise reported back to the command team of Waterfelons and asked what day and times would be good to meet to view and talk about the cafe, the team agreed that anytime would be good after a few emails Tim arranged to meet at the cafe.

Autumn, John and Louise all waited outside the cafe eagerly and excited to finally view the cafe and meet the owner, they went inside the cafe view it and loved it, it was perfect! Tim explained he had put so much time and effort into the place but he just wasn't able to dedicate the time to open the cafe anymore, he said he would love to host a event before he sold the cafe but agreed that once he had he would sell it to the Waterfelons as he loved the idea of what they were going to do with the place.

After a few days Louise received a message from Tim explaining that he had decided to sell the property without doing the event first and asked to meet in the evening of that day. The evening arrived, Louise asked Autumn and John to meet at the cafe as soon as possible, not knowing what they were about the be told they headed to the cafe nervously but excited, once they arrived Louise told them the amazing news that Tim was going to sell the cafe to them tonight, Tim told everyone the price of the cafe and they agreed and purchased it he handed the keys over and wished them luck on there new venture before leaving to meet his friend.
