Back home, the old gen established strong roots, capitalizing on the infamous institutional breakdown of the 90s by establishing protection rackets that provided their services to businesses. When institutional order was restored in the early 2000s, these protection rackets became private security companies that provided the next generation with financial stability. As such, the Eastern diaspora grew, with both early escapees of the Eastern Bloc and later ones setting their sights on Los Santos as the promise land for renewed economic expansion and exploitation. As the diaspora in Los Santos grew, the new gen gradually came together to form a collective. Paying homage to the early generation of Eastern Bloc escapees who arrived by boat on the shores of Los Santos, they dubbed their collective “Shoreline.” Quote Shoreline’s core mission is to provide a means for individuals to not only survive but thrive in Los Santos. Shoreline sympathizes deeply with the struggles that it identifies in its early diaspora communities of Los Santos and seeks out similarly industrious minds who formed the collective that Shoreline is today. As such, Shoreline’s ranking system is designed to provide its members with the freedom they need to pursue their economic liberation. While becoming a Prospect requires potential members to prove themselves to the collective, the collective thereafter serves as a network to assist Shoreline’s members and collectively lift up Shoreline. In providing this freedom, Shoreline hopes to become a safe haven for industrious minds. Shoreline is always on the lookout for fledgling industrious minds, and becoming a member is as simple as asking a member. Keeping Shoreline a safe haven means focusing on what matters; financial freedom. Shoreline seeks no conflict with any other organization in Los Santos, however, every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
