Ritchie Stones Posted November 13, 2025 Report Posted November 13, 2025 could we have the actual new drift version on low grip tires ? i know it there only a few cars who have this, and the old low grip tires are so bad, if that could be replaced by the new drift system i would so be all in on it !! Juicay Posted February 21 Report Posted February 21 It’s not actually possible to just swap the old low-grip tyres for the new drift version system. The drift versions and the regular versions are built completely differently on the backend. They have different handling lines, different handling flags, and different physics behaviour attached to them. It’s not just a tyre change the entire car is configured around that specific system. The low-grip tyres on cars like the ZR350 work the way they do for a reason. They behave differently from the dedicated drift version. For example, with low-grip tyres you can transition from a drift into a reverse entry much more naturally because the car still follows its original handling model, just with reduced traction. The dedicated drift versions were added to make drifting easier and more accessible, especially for players who don’t have much experience. They’re more assisted and forgiving. The low-grip setup is more raw and technical for more skilled players who want to push the limits allowing for finer throttle control, weight transfer management, clutch-kick style initiations, reverse entries, tighter transition control, and overall a much higher skill ceiling when it comes to linking corners cleanly. So replacing one with the other wouldn’t really work they’re designed around completely different handling systems. Quote
