Firstly is to check if screen is the problem so if ypu have tv or monitor which you can use to check if it displays the picture on another screen via hdmi or whatever you have. 2nd thing is gpu, it's a bit hard to check, basically you need to open up the laptop and remove or replace the gpu to check if it will work. 3rd thing can be ram memory. If you have more than 2 sticks, try to remove one and boot the laptop wiht only one card. If it doesn't turn on, try with another card. 4th thing can be motherboard which is not easy to check or repair.
