RatThuggie Posted December 13, 2024 Report Posted December 13, 2024 I'm not super intelligent or articulate, but I'll say what i know; There are too many players trying to rob other players. I've witnessed players trolling from lab to lab, just driving around and fishing for other players to rob. This sort of thing just doesn't feel very RP friendly to me, when you get jumped by players just looking for an excuse to be toxic for the next fifteen minutes. I just came out of a situation where they tried to make me chop an entire car for them while they didn't even want me to RP the situation out. Telling me "Shut up or i'll shoot" whenever i spoke. The other day i was thrown into the back of a trunk and left to bleed out for ten minutes because they thought it'd be funny. I've had some good experiences getting robbed, but mostly it just seems like a way for bad GTA players to prey on others who have to abide by Fear RP. I have a few suggestions, none of which are very fleshed out, but i'll try. Suggestion One: Some kind of cooldown or buildup mechanic, to either keep players from performing chain robberies, or nerf how easily they can initiate a robbery. To my understanding, just *seeing* a car pull out of a lab is enough to ram into them and rob them with an AK47. (which is unrealistic, as there are homes at these labs and a moving car doesn't necessarily = fresh drugs) They should have to know you have something of value Suggestion 2: Add a 'Fight or Flight' mechanic that gives players the option to end a tedious situation a little quicker. That way players aren't forced to become the playthings of other players for an indeterminate amount of time. I understand the desire for RP but after the fifth consecutive robbery in a night, some players just want to get on with their lives. (A faster death button wouldn't hurt either...) Suggestion 3: More diverse labs!!! I've not been playing for that long, so i could be wrong, but from what i can tell, there are only three labs and they all in the north east side of the map. At least put some up there to the left to keep people from being able to troll the area so fast. Suggestion 4: Let players buy tables again. I've heard admins say it's not conducive to RP to have it that way, but at the same time, players can buy a carjack, engine hoist and a toolbox. Just make them do it outside, and make tables take a long time to take down so that there's risk in losing your cashcow. Suggestion 4.5 : Add big buffs to drugs, and remove the shady pharmacists. With the inclusion of a mental state mechanic, players would have to buy drugs, and with other players controlling the market, it would add a diverse roleplay aspect to selling drugs that would provide all kinds of *good* opportunities to get robbed. TL;DR Getting robbed doesn't feel good or fun, and most of the time just feels like an excuse for base game GTA players to pick on players who have to adhere to fear RP. I would suggest finding a group to join or a few buddies to role with on the regular. See if you can find someone to mentor you on the right ways to do things. Alot of being a crim is building relationships with other criminals/gangs. Of course you won’t get along with everyone but choose your battles wisely. Quote
