ReligiousSinner Posted August 4, 2024 Report Posted August 4, 2024 (edited) Keiji Yoshida Keiji Yoshida was born in Osaka, Japan on July 2nd1977. He was born into the Yoshida family, where his father Hiroshi was a high-ranking member of very influential Yakuza syndicate, the Shirokuro-kai. His father was a calm and collected man, much like his son Keiji will turn out to be. The Yakuza are known for their secrecy and discretion of dealing with business affairs, so much so in fact that low-ranking members are not allowed to speak -- ever. Keiji was certainly expected to conduct himself and follow in his father's footsteps. Keiji had even early on exhibited signs of being a gambler at heart. He'd often keep up appearance for his fellow syndicate members during the night, when conducting business. He had his own crew, mostly comprised of heavy hitters, who were quick to act, but not so much so when it came to thinking. Keiji quickly stepped into a leadership position, but as the years went on, the constant upkeep with the racketeering and extortion became something of a burden. Keiji would often go to casinos after finishing up jobs, staying there through the night. He'd more often than not gamble away his winnings, and go back to an empty home where he'd smoke his cigarette and sit in the dark thinking about his life, and the choices he had to make, and will have to make. It's undisputed that Keiji is very intelligent and collected, at least mentally, but on the outside when nobody was around, one look at his room and it would be clear what kind of a mess he was. Most of his days when he'd come home, the only chore he would do is ironing his suit for the next day, yet very often he would find himself waking up next to an empty bottle of Sake. One night turned out to be very different for Keiji, upon visiting one of his favorite Casinos, the night played out mostly as expected, with most of his "winnings" returned back to the casino, Keiji ended up visiting the in-house bar. Where a beautiful woman sat down next to him. "Welcome to my little corner of hell" - she said. --Keiji stared at the woman as he proceeded to adjust his glasses-- Have we met before? - he asked. "Let me treat you to a drink, besides your losses here tonight were a true contribution to my wallet" --Keiji looked at the woman, as his gaze shifted towards her name tag-- "Akira... well Akira, glad to be of service.' - Keiji muttered as he smiled. This was a turning point in Keiji's life, as the woman he had met was Akira Tanaka, a beautiful and enigmatic woman. She was the general manager of the casino, and it just so happened, Keiji spent many hours through that night speaking with Akira. It quickly became clear that there was a spark between them, and Akira was the only person who would get to know the real Keiji. Yet, what they both didn't realize initially was that their relationship was forbidden. One night, Akira's father came to the casino, as Keiji was sitting at the bar, he had spotted the man. It became instantly clear to him about who the man was. Keiji realized that the woman he had fallen for was from the Kurotora-kai, a rival syndicate. Keiji without much hesitation left some money on the counter and made his way to the men's restroom - fleeing from the window. He woke up the next morning, with many missed calls on his answering machine. Akira was very confused as to where Keiji had gone the previous night. Keiji called Akira, and explained the situation to her. They both sat in silence knowing that their relationship was a high risk, to both of them. Despite the risks, Keiji and Akira were irresistibly drawn to each other, their bond strengthening with every secret meeting. Their love was a defiance of the rigid structures that governed both of their respective worlds. The day had sadly come, their affair had been discovered. The revelation sent a true shockwave through both of their syndicates. Keiji's subordinates, who had long envied his position, saw an opportunity to seize the power that he previously held in his crew. They orchestrated a plan to betray him, feeding false information to the syndicate leaders. Keiji was ambushed, beaten, and left for dead in a remote part of the city. The reactions from his father though, were quite minor, but it became clear that he intended to cut all ties to his son. Akira's fate was yet unknown, but rumors suggested that she was forced into hiding, vanishing within the night. Barely alive, Keiji realized that his time in Osaka was over, he was fed up of the lifestyle, but at the same time it was his thoughts of Akira that kept him going. He constructed a quick plan in his had that would follow with him quickly fleeing the country, leaving behind everything he had ever known. His destination was Los Santos, a city teeming with opportunity and danger. Here, Keiji planned to rebuild his empire on his own terms, free from the treacherous politics of the Yakuza. He used his remaining connections to establish a modest foothold in the city's criminal underworld, focusing on smuggling operations and forging alliances with local gangs. However, Los Santos was a different beast altogether. The city's criminal groups were fragmented and volatile, with numerous factions fighting over control. Keiji's ambitions quickly attracted attention, and not all of it was welcome. One fateful night, as he was walking through a dimly lit alleyway next to the Maze bank, when Keiji was approached by a member of the Irish gang. Words were exchanged, threats were made, and in a flash of violence, Keiji slit the man's throat. Unbeknownst to him, the entire altercation was witnessed by a police officer from a distance. The officer immediately called for backup, and a citywide manhunt ensued with both PD and SD teaming up. Keiji, realizing the gravity of the situation, fled the scene. The police, however, was relentless. Cornered and desperate, Keiji remembered the grenade he had smuggled from his foreign contacts, a last resort for moments of utter hopelessness. As the sirens grew louder and the police closed in, Keiji pulled the grenade from his jacket, his mind racing with memories of betrayal and loss, and this is where his story truly begins.
