The Horizon

The Horizon is a gang formed in Los Santos by a group of disillusioned hustlers, from street criminals to wealthy gamblers. Tired of the endless bloodshed and the superficial bonds of the streets, these men sought something more meaningful. They were weary of risking their lives for petty profits, surrounded by associates who viewed each other as mere tools rather than family. The Horizon operates with a code of respect and hard work—respect that is fiercely maintained within their ranks but is not a given for outsiders.

Origins

In the shadowy back room of Tequi-La-La, a bar in Los Santos, high-stakes poker was a nightly ritual. Among the players were Griffin, a notorious street hustler, and Winston, a cunning drug dealer. Griffin and Winston played poker together for a year, forming a bond through their shared love for the game and the thrill of the stakes. After a year, both decided to take a break, stepping away from the game to attend to their personal lives. During their absence, Tequi-La-La shut down, and the poker players vanished from the city.

Years later, Winston returned to Los Santos, weary from constant battles with the police and rival gangs. One day, Winston and Griffin reunited, finding each other at the Casino. After linking up, they spent weeks rolling together and forming a small crew of like-minded individuals with whom they formed a trusted inner circle.

It wasn’t long before Winston and Griffin realized that they had struck gold, and it was time for something new, something that they could mold into a dignified, shining powerhouse. They donned Black and Yellow and chose to formally create their new crew. They named it "The Horizon," inspired by the idea that a horizon represents the boundary between the known and the unknown, the place where the sun rises and sets, symbolizing endless possibilities and new beginnings. For Winston and Griffin, the horizon was not just a line in the distance but a promise of a brighter future for themselves and their crew, a beacon of hope and power in the chaotic landscape of Los Santos.

Hierarchy

Kingpins: The top leaders who make the critical decisions and oversee all operations.

Pit Bosses: Trusted lieutenants who manage day-to-day activities and enforce the Kingpins' directives.

Maestro: Senior members known for their strategic minds and significant contributions to the gang's success.

Dealers: Trusted members who handle specific operations, manage lower-ranked members, and ensure smooth execution of plans.

Vanguards: The muscle of the gang, responsible for protection and ensuring loyalty and discipline within the ranks.

Hustlers: New recruits who are learning the ropes and proving their loyalty.

Hangarounds: Prospects aspiring to prove themselves in order to become official members.

Goals

Establish and maintain a base of operations serve as a safe haven for our crew.
Become a mainstay in the gunrunning and pharmaceutical industry.
Revitalize the poker scene of Los Santos and establish a respected community of gamblers
Establish and build a crew of loyal and experienced hustlers

Core Tenets

Honor Above All
All Every member must conduct themselves with integrity and respect amongst ourselves. day to day interactions and how you handle yourself must be held to a high standard.
Unwavering Loyalty
Loyalty to The Horizon and its members is paramount. We will always respect the need for personal space and free time, but always be available to answer the call when needed.
Mindful Actions
Always consider the consequences of your actions. How you conduct yourself reflects on the entire gang. Avoid unnecessary conflicts and act in ways that strengthen our alliances and reputation. We do not initiate conflicts, but if provoked, we will retaliate fiercely. never relent Our power comes from our unity. Stand together, work together, but most of all- never snitch or work with law enforcement in any capacity.

Humble Beginnings
As the weeks pass, The Horizon has begun building it’s reputation as well as building out their ranks with members who will uphold their core tenets. To the Horizon, we do not necessarily see a lack of experience as a weakness, and we actively seek lone wanderers that society has otherwised abandoned, people just looking for one opportunity to prove themselves and a family to grant them one, and that is exactly the kind of family The Horizon is.   Criminal activities such as store robberies, and chopping of cars have been the name of the game as the group seek to not only train and educate some of their fresh blood,  but also carve out their reputation and pad out their bank accounts. As a side effect of their recent ventures, the group has had close calls with the law, but managed to successfully evade or otherwise get their way out of trouble. Though due to their deeply rooted disdain for law enforcement, they don’t make things easy for themselves when communicating with police, and have found that their gang has been met with increasing hostilities when being pulled over. The Horzion, however, were ready for such interactions and have become accustomed to handling the police, with their own form of “Justice”.

"Making Moves One faithful evening, it was a day like any other, The boys were hustling and washing some cash with their usual guy. Off the corner of the street, they noticed a light purple sports car and light purple motorcyle watching them. After they finished their dealings, the Horizon were confronted by these men. Though the Horizon didn’t offer much in the way of information, they didn’t bother answering these men when they asked what they were doing, as it was quite self explanatory. This did not go well with the men, and they exited their vehicles, attempting to hold the Horizon members up on the side of the street. This was their first major conflict, as the Horizon generally sought peace and offered goodwill to fellow criminal organizations, but when their respect is spat on and tossed away, the retaliate with IMMORTAL fury. The Horizon members that were held up escaped successfully, and as a show of force, the gang decided to hunt these deviants down, armed to the brim, but of course, the assailants were no where to be found after hours of searching. Though the Horizon felt a message had to be sent, one that explained that while the Horizon choose to be reasonable and honorable, that Honor is a luxury that will quickly fade when you threaten or disrespect the crew. Thus, the boys went on a cooking and chopping spree, holding down labs and asserting their dominance, though being sure to be following their core tenets to all that may have stumbled upon them during their stay at the labs. Offering peace and protection to anyone else utilizing the grounds for their “business”. The Horizon showed that while they may not start shit- they DAMN well will finish it. As for the rest of the week, the crew continued on to recruit valuable, quality members that would bring value to their ranks and dutifully follow their core tenets. They continued to teach strays the way of the criminal world, never expecting anything in return as most of these men were too green to ever be considered for membership into the Horizon. The group continued to hustle hard, chopping, producing pharmaceutical products, hitting stores and houses, and everything they could to pad up their bank accounts as they pursued greater ventures. Griffin also began leaving flyers across town advertising poker, leaving his number to set up sessions with any interested. This worked, as Griffin was able to get some tables going and start re-igniting the city’s passion for poker.Most notably, the Horizon finally, after weeks of searching and planning, settled on a new HQ for the organization. Buying out expensive property, they claimed the land and it’s surrounding area for themselves, a large enough place for get togethers for both their crew and friends- and a private building to conduct gang meetings. Deep in the heart of the city, it was a perfect place to call home. Though, the Horizon knew that they would have to hustle and grind harder than ever to lay claim to this turf, and they were ready for the fight ahead as they began to work on building connections with the surrounding dealers."

Retaliations and Relations

This week in Los Santos, The Horizon stayed true to their grind, hitting stores, chopping cars, and robbing houses to keep the cash flowing. But the cops were relentless, cracking down hard on the crew. The police went so far as to arrest one of The Horizon's own right at the gang headquarters for "speeding," waiting for the perfect moment to catch him out of his vehicle. This blatant act of gang suppression didn't sit well with The Horizon. The Horizon have always had a deep seeded hatred of Law Enforcement, as they view them as the cancer that beats down on the downtrodden and desperate, and it was time to take the fight back to them.
In response, the crew decided to strike back. They managed to steal a police cruiser and embarked on a wild, nightly escapade. The thrill of the chase was electric as they outmaneuvered the cops using their own ride. The night ended with blue blood spilled, but the men in black and yellow made a daring escape, leaving satisfied as they felt the message sent was clear, the Horizon will never back down from a fight, be it LEOs or otherwise. 
Additionally, the Horizon welcomed a new member to the family. A man who brings to them an experienced and good mind, they happily initiated the man in their signature rooftop fashion, ensuring his loyalty in an aggressive, but reliable, manner.
The Horizon made significant strides in solidifying their place in the city's underworld. The Kingpins continued to meet with top organizations, forming alliances with groups that shared their values of honor and dignity in the criminal game. These connections were crucial, as they helped The Horizon build a reputation as a gang that was not only powerful but also principled.
To fortify their  arsenal, The Horizon  regularly ordered arms drops from one of the largest gangs in Los Santos. Their  ties with the Waterfelons proved invaluable when one of their own was robbed during off-hours. The Waterfelons, having a lead on the perpretrator, didn't hesitate to help The Horizon  track down and "handle" the perpetrator. This act of loyalty and support , showcased the strength and solidarity of The Horizon's network, as well as demonstrating the unrelenting care they have for their own, and the blazing fury they sow upon their enemies.

The Horizon's strategy of building strong, respectful relationships was beginning to pay off. Their continued efforts in diplomacy and retaliation were steadily carving out a name for themselves in the chaotic landscape of Los Santos. More and more organizations are taking note of the men in black and yellow with their sleek yellow pearlescent cars, which only lends credence to their impact and prescence in the city.

New Dawn

One day, the members of Horizon arrived at their private lab, only to find it completely destroyed, with nothing left to salvage. As word spread on the streets, rumors emerged about new labs and locations being set up for various criminal activities. Sensing an opportunity, the Horizon kingpins quickly assembled a team to hunt down these newly established operations.

However, the search proved more challenging than anticipated. Realizing they needed additional resources, they reached out to trusted friends and allies within other gangs, exchanging valuable information about the hidden labs. After scouting a few locations, Horizon recognized the immense potential these new labs held for expanding their income.

In a swift and decisive meeting, the leadership agreed to focus their efforts on locating and taking control of these labs. They formed a specialized team tasked with mapping out the new sites to keep track of their progress. With these new tactics in place, Horizon is poised to rise from the city and usher in a new era of power and influence.
