Report system

Recommended Posts

Personally, I think the current report system needs a little change.

1. People report players for stupid reasons.

If you review all of the cases like I do. you often see reports that are somewhat silly.

"Player shoot at me" While there was a pretty good roleplay going on.

"I got mugged and..." Mugging command is there for a reason.

"He stole my car" You didn't lock your door or turned off your engine? and walked away? (Note in some cases stealing a car can be non-RP)

"I got run over" Although it sucks getting run over, sometimes shit happens. But unless it's extremely obvious someone runs you over, then you can make a report.

What I'm trying to say is that we should not report people for tiny mistakes they have made in the game.

most of the time you can solve it in-game. Or just ignore it as the situation wasn't really significant enough.

It's like dropping a piece of paper on the ground and the police instantly arrest you. The officer can simply ask the person to pick it up and put it in the trashcan and go on with your day.

People make mistakes. People can learn from mistakes if you point them into the right direction. But I do not think a ban would inspire that person to change at all. In fact, the player could end up being even more aggressive.

2. Video evidence

Everyone can record their game, and show the admins what they did wrong.

However, I feel like that many video evidence is too short. People can easily leave the parts out that could have mattered to change the punishment. Not all of us are on the forum being able to defend ourselves.

So my suggestion is, you need to start off the video 1 minute before the actual event happens. And let it run an additional 1 minute to the end of the situation. So the reviewer has enough information to issue a resolution.

Good point you brought here.

About your 2nd Topic, I believe everyone who plays GTA V has a recording program such as NVIDEA Shadowplay or AMD ReLive. That allows you to record the last 20 minutes (at least ReLive does) so definitely, when reporting a player your evidence should be clear enough for a fair judgement.

Sometimes people just bait other players and then end up trying to reverse the story.

Also I would like to add to this suggestion the following:

You guys should add the follow commands:

/cancelreport

/cancelhelp / /cancelhelpme

Sometimes we report for something or question something and before it gets reviewed we get our issue/question resolved.

Also we should be allowed to submit more than 1 /helpme imo
