Server isn't quite what it used to be.

Coming off of a 2 year break I was expecting a similar experience to what I had expected in the past. I notice that the quality of the server has decreased dramatically. I am not taking time out of my day to vent as I really do feel like its in everyone's best interest to realize we are taking a step back here from what this server used to be. Back when I played the police were well versed in basic law and basic RP. I notice now that hoodlums are openly running a muck by robbing people without any RP. Attempting to contact the admins in game is slower than getting a license at the local DMV. Personally I will never return to this server as the quality of basic law fundamentals, server administration, and basic RP has gone down hill by a lot. I'm not one of these guys that has all day to play but this is my personal experience with returning of 75 hours now in the coming weeks due to me having overseas assignments for work that don't require much work. 

Good luck to everyone, If you are spending hours and hours during workable time Id encourage you to pursue meaningful things in life. Although I took up this habit during a business trip I understand many of you are still at home / playing during your off time. Id highly advise you to quit or pursue a server that works towards providing a good player experience rather than fully catering to those that are in the inner loop with the server.  

 

I do not expect this to be up long given the authoritarian style of administration this server has adopted.

Agreed. Specifically the cops RP has been downright terrible based on all my experiences with them in the time that I have returned. The majority of cops that I have encountered refuse to RP out situations and if you disagree with them on anything they just tell you to "make a report" or "take it to court" which is a complete waste of time and they know that so there is nothing you can honestly do but to obey them. This in my opinion just makes for horrible RP. In addition to this the cops don't have basic understanding of laws in Los Santos or how the prisons are actually operated. There have been numerous times where I have been a passenger or have had a passenger in my car and the cops have arrested and charged the passenger with the exact same crime as the driver without any RP proof that they have committed any crime. You can't charge a passenger of a vehicle for fleeing and Evading when they aren't the one driving the vehicle. That's not how the law works. In addition to the terrible Police RP on this server nowadays, the majority of Gangs have complete control over the drug labs and make it nearly impossible for criminals who are independent to get anything done. Gangs of 6-8 people pull up on you 90% of the time when you are at any of the drug labs and just powergame you into being robbed with ZERO RP. It's completely boring and an absolute waste of time and doesn't make any sense RP wise. Why would a group of hardened criminals with guns and a shitload of money want to rob a guy by himself with less than 5 Grand worth of shit on him? Wouldn't it be better to hire him to work for you rather than to bully guys who are new and not bothering anybody. The RP on this server just isn't how it used to be and I will more than likely be leaving as well.

I also have felt this same sentiment. The cops in here seem to just don't bother to RP evidence or any sort of due process within the criminal system. They just throw you in jail and if you have an issue, deal with it in "JB". It is ridiculous that the cops feel no pressure or fear that they should have solid evidence of a criminal committing the actual crime. The law system is completely shit and its mainly due to the quality of cops. I probably won't be playing here anymore but I really hope they do improve for the people that play here. Its sad because like the poster said this server used to be amazing.

Well you're doing a great job on increasing the quality with responses like such "Go touch grass man. Look at yourself in the mirror and realize the fact you are taking time out of your day to complain about someone going too fast over a hill with the wrong tires on in a video game." on forum reports that you didn't care to show mutual respect in. With that, I do not care to have a post held up by pins and needles from someone who does not even care to show respect on an OOC platform.
