  1. The Diary of William Jefferson Childhood [1988-2004] So where do I begin? I was originally born in 1988 within the United Kingdom, Manchester to be precise. During my childhood I was raised by two caring and compassionate parents, who always wanted the best for me and my brother. During this time my older brother helped me develop as an individual, he taught me how to become a better person and how to bring joy and happiness to those around you. He honestly taught me so much during my developmental years of my life. Although my parents were incredibly supportive and loving there was no one I connected better with than Theo (Brother) he just understood me... It’s hard to explain the connection you can create with a sibling, he just understood me and accepted me for who I was back in the day. If anything happened with other kids on the estate my brother was always there to defend me and fight my case. I honestly wish I could of fought my own battles more during my teenage years, but due to my feeble body and odd looking physical appearance, I was always an easy target for the schoolyard bullies. As previously mentioned my schooling years were tough with a limited social group and very little friends... let’s just say high school wasn’t my golden hour by any means. Although school was a tough ride I got through it. I received a fairly good set of GCSE’s, I mean they were good enough to impress my parents, but I knew I wasn’t reaching my full potential due to numerous external factors. End of Childhood Age: 16 Achieved Grades: A, A, A, A, B, B, C, C ———————————————————————————————— Early Adulthood [2004-2006] Age: 16 So in this stage of my journey let’s just say puberty hit like a truck. After 16 years of being a victim to our society and feeling trapped due to numerous factors like my unathletic body type, and due to my overall personality of being a shy kid who found it incredibly hard to interact and socialise with other people it always made me a target.... But when I turned sixteen as stupid as it sounds I felt something change inside me, figuratively I had a new flame within me, I felt like this was my time to change and put my old years behind me. This was my time. After leaving the past behind at high school the summer holidays had began. I took this time to be alone and completely focus on what I wanted to achieve in my life, and the direction I wanted to undertake. I say alone but what I mean is isolated from people bar my brother and Family. I honestly didn’t feel the need to stay in contact with anyone from my school. During these holidays my body had started to change my baby face was slowly becoming more chiselled and defined. As well as my body filling out with these things called muscles.... it was a scary time seeing my body change but it was a good scary, an exhilarating fear, and not to mention the increased female attention I got.... So let me tell you what happened during these holidays. Every single day me and Theo (Brother) would go out into the forests to practice bush craft survival skills. Sounds weird right but honestly practicing bush craft was so relaxing and in many ways an escape from Manchester and all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I felt at home within nature... During these small expeditions Theo would constantly educate me on his career and the world around us. Sorry I forgot to mention Theo was a Field Medic and served inside the 335 Medical Evacuation Regiment within the British Army. He had joined at the age of 16 and in his own words he never looked back from that career choice. So at this time he had served for a total of 10 years and had 2 tours to Afghanistan and a training tour to South Africa. So as you can imagine he held an enormous amount of knowledge regarding the work he did as well as society in general due to his profession of helping and aiding soldiers and civilians. Just from hearing his stories over and over again the thought of taking the same career path intrigued me. Over the holidays the thought of becoming a medical professional and the satisfaction of being to help people as your job really excited me and drew me in. So before the holidays were ending and I was preparing for college I chose to study Chemistry, Maths and Biology. From what I had heard from my career counsellor as-well as my brother these A-Levels would give me the foundation to enter a variety of medical fields within the future. College Life: So the next part of my journey is college. This time in my life I can honestly say I loved. My confidence had shot up thanks to my new good looks and I actually had a path/vision to aim for in relation to my potential career. The first year flew by revision was going as well and the grades reciprocated this. Unfortunately this would all come crashing down when I turned 17. The day after my birthday I received the call that my Mother and Father had been involved in a fatal car crash, which instantly killed them upon impact. From what the police had told me they had broken down on their way to London, and had safely parked upon the hard-shoulder to wait for emergency services to assist. During this time a driver who was under the influence of alcohol and a concoction of drugs, directly ploughed into the back of their car at speeds of over 90mph. When me and Theo were told the news we were at home looking at careers within the medical industry. We just both broke down. No words were said..... just complete silence. We both felt cheated at life, just one moment had changed everything and took away the two people who cared and raised me from day one. After all this happened nothing was the same... college became a chore and all I wanted to do was be by myself and be alone and reflect on the past. Finally college had finished I’d received moderately okay grades but considering the circumstances I was “happy”. Achieved A-Levels: Chemistry: B, Biology: C, Maths: A ———————————————————————————————— Adulthood [2006-2008] After college had finished and the holidays had begun, mourning and grief had been subsided and my anger suppressed. I did this to minimalise the detrimental effects it could have on my future career, and in general my entire life. I would not let this catastrophic event engulf me. With the help of my brother and after numerous discussions I decided that University was not for me at all. After weeks of going back and forth between potential career options, I decided to follow my brothers pathway via the military. My thinking was that after years of pain and suffering the one thing I wanted to do was to help people in need and be there ray of light just like Theo was mine. I settled on the 3rd Medical Regiment which offered frontline medical services to British soldiers and civilians overseas. I filled in the application form and my new life had begun. After weeks of waiting for a response my letterbox opened and a lonesome white envelope dropped through like a feather falling. Printed on the back was the address: 3rd Medical Regiment Manchester British Army, United Kingdom This was the moment which would determine my future. I was accepted. ———————————————————————————————— Medical Career in the British Army: During the years of 2006-2008 I served within the 3rd Medical Regiment and completed 1 tour to Afghanistan in a region called “Lashkargah”. Your probably wondering how I felt to be in a warzone at the young age of 18. Was I scared? Yes everyday was a new challenge and a scary one. Did I like it ? If your asking if I enjoyed the violence the answer would be no. But I loved the aspect of helping people, I will never forget the look soldiers gave me when in my care. They trusted me they saw me as their hope. No amount of payment could ever fulfil you in comparison to that feeling from helping someone in need. From this tour I learnt a massive amount in regards to being a Field Medic. Skills I believe you could never learn elsewhere. Whilst in the medical regiment I met some amazing brothers in arms people I will never forget. Unfortunately a lot of the people I entered this journey with never returned, but I will never forget them and everything I do is in their names and my parents. I served under the 3rd medical regiment for 2 years after this period I was offered a unique career opportunity with the international organisation United Nations (UN).This position was as a Civilian Relief - Chief Medical Officer. Within this role my main job was to provide essential aid to victims of war internationally. As a UN Chief Medial Officer I was in charge of a 5 man team all with medical/military backgrounds from around the globe. ———————————————————————————————— Life after the Army: Present Time After serving 2 years in the British Army I made the decision to follow a career in business, in particular Social Media Marketing. Let me tell you this wasn't an easy decision.... I had loved every minute of my time within the military but you can only take so much over the years and my time was truly well and done. After returning to the United Kingdom I went on a search for a job in relation to marketing and social media. My first job was for an established company who specialised in providing businesses with the resources and knowledge to excel and maximise their social media reach to their targeted demographics. Now don't get me wrong this job was a fantastic stepping stone for my career but I soon got restless, and I honestly felt like I was being extremely undervalued by the company I worked for at the time. I knew my potential was much more in this business world and this is when I took the decision to take a one way trip to Los Santos in search of prosperous opportunities where I could really show my worth and take a shot at success and riches. To be Continued......
