I'm pretty all good with it but from a general standpoint during low pop hours, I'm sure most people would say they don't want to wait that long for possibly nothing. waiting an hour and a half or over isn't doable or cool for most people lol

I feel drug running RP is kind of stale. It's simply you go to a drug lab, make the drugs, then sell them at one of the drop off points. I feel a way to improve this is to give the players the ability to use drugs for temporary boosts. Some examples:

LSD: Increases your health by 15 (200 max)

Cocaine: Increases inventory space by 15, (50 max)

Giving drugs a benefit would help introduce drug sale RP. Someone could RP as a drug dealer and sell drugs to other players in secluded areas, alleyways for example. This would also introduce drug sale busts by detectives at the LSPD. They could set up stint operations against drug dealers (Giving drug dealing some sort of risk). I also think a way to keep the drug use system from becoming too overpowered would be to include an addiction system. The more you use a drug, the more addicted you become. If you're addicted to a drug, you would need to use more of that drug to get the same effect. The effect will be reduced the more addicted you are. You would use methadone to get rid of an addiction, which I also think the price of methadone should be slightly raised, so it's not that easy to get it. If anyone has any more ideas on how to make this system more balanced, reply with your idea. I know this idea sounds complicated but I would like to hear your feedback. Thanks for reading

    Edit:

I also think all the legal factions should have some kind of command to administer drug tests (Not just EMS). They could RP it however they like, weather it be a blood sample or pee in a cup. The purpose of this would be for applicants attempting to get a job or it can be administered regularly to employees to ensure they’re clean. If a player uses a drug, it’s in their system for 5 IRL days, when I say in their system I don’t mean where it’s giving them the effects. If you get tested and you used any type of drug(s) less then 5 days ago, you’ll come back as positive. Thought I should add another way this addition could introduce more RP.

there are no drugs on the street

there are no benefits from taking them - they should have some sort of small perk buff or edge that they give
to make an increased demand for drugs on the street
( there is little to no demand on the street )

PS i like the drug test idea that's a good one haha.

I don't think this is a bad idea at all considering you would have to pay quite a bit of money (possibly all together as a group) to become a faction (albeit unofficial), and heck, you've got to pay a million dollars just to get access to shotguns. That's a lot of money you could be possibly wasting if you don't plan to follow through all the way with your faction. You could make it more $ - if people are afraid of guns.
You could definitely leave the Official Faction system the way it is and possibly have this in place as well with no real affect on it

Like you said 5 Million, even 1 million ( for shotguns) is a lot of money - even if it was doubled it would seem obtainable. At least you could become an unofficial faction or crew actually in the game and not just outside of it. I understand to a degree why the faction system is in place -

I'm not hating on the faction system that is in place right now at all. Maybe the Official Faction System would do even better if Unofficial Factions could at least be a thing. It would hurt bigger gangs profits- so i'm sure many, many will be against this

Perhaps, not give Unofficial Factions access to SMG's as a compromise? (I know they already won't get access to assault rifles)

I think that if people wish to go up against big groups and most likely get decimated - it should be up to them. At least give them a fighting chance. It is easier in real life for an actual felon to obtain weapons in the state of california lol - again not hating on the system - i understand why it's in place.

And I'm not speaking on behalf of just myself but a lot of what I see. Why does every noob have to go to one of the three big gang's say and get ripped off heavily (if they are lucky ) in order to get their hands on anything other than a pistol. How are these little guys (even solo) ever supposed to do anything let alone feel secure -that's my biggest Peeve against that system and it isn't large.

I just think there should be some way for smaller groups to obtain something - even just Pistols.

Disclaimer - I'm not complaining I just whole heartedly agree with this gentleman right now

My suggestion would be for criminals having the ability to use a crowbar, purchased from a store, using it on a house doorway and being able to break into a house. They then have to look for the stashspot that is in the interior to loot items from it.

A way to counteract this would be to purchase an alarm system for houses as an add on extra. If the alarm is tripped by forced entry then the police are notified via the 911 system. You could even buy a silent alarm upgrade, slightly more expensive.

The use of bobby pins could also be a useful implementation for this. In the way that bobby pins take longer to open the door, like trying to pick cars, there is a chance you will fail.

i still wanna know how people house raided me when it was locked and keypadded  - i dont know how anyone can technically do it: get through the locked front door, and crack a code to the second locked door - without having keys or knowing the code

if they implemented this crowbar thing like you said that's pretty cool
but no one is tellin' me lolol

When Three brothers and their a few of their friends came to Los Santos - there was little hope for future financial success for the men from New England. With the smuggling that used to exist so well on the fishing boats out of New England almost seizing to be, the friends, cousins and brothers decided to try their luck in a populated city. Hoping to find the right connections and right people to get a good restart on life, their fortunes changed quickly. Jimmy was put in prison shortly after arriving but has since been released - Tony was shot and almost paralyzed, and is recovering in the Hospital as of this writing. The City is more dangerous than expected, as the brothers had lived briefly in Manhatten, Brooklyn and New York City and figured this could not be any worse, however it has proved to be. After Tony was shot, Larry and Jimmy went to look for and kill whoever shot their brother - while they found one of the accomplices and did right by Antonio,  they were spontaneously ambushed by Police - with only Jimmy able to escape. Larry was too far from him for Jimmy to do anything. It was now time for La Cosa Nostra to do right by his ill-fated brothers.

Immediately they began making connections within the city, going outside the normal routine of complete and utter secrecy, however still keeping as quiet as possible. They began to link up with good people - not just Italians. They knew the only way to make 'this thing of ours' work now is to find the correct people, it didn't matter if they were Italian - and it hasn't mattered for some time. Just a few years ago however, to become a made man your father had to be Italian. First finding a few of the right connections, some associates and then trustworthy friends. It wasn't long before the members and associates began to make small moves together and watching over each other, especially in business dealings or anything involving money.

With Antonio still unable to help the group with severe gunshot wounds, and Larry in prison - Jimmy has phoned his brother and three cousins still in New England to assist the Cosa Nostra. Letting them know of the hostilities and gang ridden areas in Los Santos - only two have decided to come and assist. Jimmy was not the only one to phone family blood ties, and the organization continues to only get cleaner, safer. We all know we would not have come this far without sticking to our principles and each other.

The connections that the few members of the crew made were beneficial to all parties. After many shootouts and failed botched deals, fortune began to swing in favor of Cosa Nostra. At least financially, we lost more than a few good men in these gun battles and botched dealings. Through steady perseverance we were able to recuperate and regain financial status. After this, we decided it would be best to lie extra low after the police and thugs had been steadily searching for us - we and agreed to let fate decide what came next.
