  1. Simply put, if there's a GPS in a vehicle, passengers should be able to set a waypoint for the driver. While most locations can be described, others are a bit tricky. Being able to place a waypoint for others would be quite useful, especially for DCC.

Of course, there could be abuse, however it's pretty common for players to screenshot their map with the location selected and RP sending it to the other person, this would simply make it easier. It should also be disabled for injured players, as it would most likely be abused to annoy medics/LEOs by changing their waypoints if they're already en route to a location.

Can also add a command to disable gps access or to lock the selected location, (RPly the GPS could be locked with a pin code or something like that and only the driver would be able to adjust it in that situation)

(I know /setgps exists, however that only works with a street number, some roads don't have any buildings along them, so it won't work in those cases)

Alternatively, it could be added to phones as a "share location" feature in messages and clicking on it will mark a waypoint.

  2. A criminal in the real world wouldn't just decide to rob someone in a clothing store randomly. While yes, it does happen in real life, its a reaaaaally tiny chance of happening, whereas on the server, it would happen pretty much all the time and it got out of hand. This rule has probably increased and promoted more social and civilian roleplay. A really strong example is the pier. Previously, that was a hotspot to get robbed, however now it's basically what the bank used to be.

At the end of it all, we are here to roleplay and have fun, not ruin another player's experience while they're just trying to chill and buy clothes or refuel their vehicle. There are a lot of places you can perform robberies, GTA V has a massive map, including a lot of secluded locations where players find themselves.

Criminal RP is not meant to be an easy role - almost anyone could just get a gun, find someone at a clothing store, say hands, rob them and drive away, which is something you can no longer do. To perform a robbery now, you need to plan it out and have a realistic process towards it.

I do not believe the rule needs a change, from a civilian / medic perspective.

  3. GTA V only makes use of true cores - it does not properly take advantage of hyperthreading / SMT, thus the lower CPU usage percent. If you have a look at your actual core usage, you'll see your first few cores are near 100%, and the rest are near idle. If the CPU is not able to keep up with frame rendering, then the GPU usage will drop.

  4. As the title states, I'm putting up my 1 Garage Apartment in Vespucci up for sale.

Walking distance to the Mask Shop

    It has been slightly renovated

    Close to the beach

Secure location as it's on a main road

4x safe storage, each hidden (total of 800 volume)

See below for location, appearance from the outside, and the interior design

I agree that a change could be beneficial. Robbing people for basically no reason is dumb and should be stopped. It will be hard on how you would go about the change, what is too much and what is too little.

I think that chain-robbing multiple people should be taken into consideration as a rule. People driving around and robbing every single person they see for 1 hour straight is not good RP. Maybe make it so that if you are robbing multiple people in a short amount of time without proper RP reason it is a NRP. I can see chain robbing people who walk in on your turf as fine. But when you're waiting outside Legion Square and robbing every single person who parks their car, that is just dumb.

Problem is things like this generally lead to people calling you out on "stalling." Even if it isn't. Its frustrating but its the reality.

Which is fine, if you're not actually breaking a rule, ignore their comments. They're stalling it for themselves by going to /b constantly while you Role-play.

  6. Point that everyone is missing, is that there's no RP reason for some of these individuals who rob people minding their own business. It's literally just "LMAO FREE STUFF" that goes through their mind, rather than having good Role-play. A lot of the times, if you give valid Role-play in return, you get powergamed or they ask in /b "Why aren't you complying? FearRP?!" When you're only Role-playing in return.

Best way to counter this is to give them Role-play. Comply, but make them have to Role-play in return, rather than just them doing "/me pats man down; /do s?", give them instances where they actually need to think about the Role-play, such as responding with "/do s, however you would find that my pockets have zips, and are closed.", etc.

You can counter Poor Role-play with Good Role-play. I've had people literally just give up on an attempt to rob my character purely because I was giving them too much Role-play to work with.

  7. +1. It's essentially an exploit to go 300+ if I'm being honest. Players are fully aware that putting your game on the lowest settings and having a beastly computer means you can go much faster in certain cars.

As for the argument present throughout this thread about "limiting" PD/SD's speeds.. I disagree strongly. The issue isn't PD/SD's speeds, it's the speed of CIVILIAN vehicles which AREN'T boosted, getting boosted by abusing mechanics of Rage MP.

It's not about fairness or realism, it's about the rules of the server.

    5. Hacking and Exploits

    • Players must not have mods, trainers, or any kind of software installed that gives any advantage.

    • Server bugs may not be used for advantage and must be reported on ECLIPSE Roleplay forums.

    • Server scripts should not be exploited in any way to your advantage, e.g. circumventing AFK timer.

  8. +1

I personally try to give more in-depth RP to the simple "painkiller" we hand out as medics, however people don't even read the RP. they just auto do the "/do yes" or "/do consumes painkiller"

If no new structure is implemented, I'd like it to at least be changed that you have to RP a realistic injury. People getting shot 5 times walking up to MD like "oh, painkiller plz" is incredibly, incredibly poor roleplay and us as medics would prefer unique roleplay situations.

Medics seem more like a literal heal button on the server, rather than someone who saves your character's life. It's a roleplay server, and while it doesn't need to be an intensive roleplay scenario for someone having been shot, it should still be realistic.
