Didn't play SA:MP that much, but first experience in GTA RP was in LS-RP in SA:MP. After that it was MTA for me, played in Valhalla, Vedic, Arsenic and Riot.

I'd prefer voice chat as OOC only for immersion reasons. Also, in my opinion, text chat improves English skills, makes it easier to comprehend what's being said and done and gives time to respond to actions. Back in GTA:SA days some servers had roleplay teaching sessions at times. Those would be nice for people who'd want to brush up on their RP skills, but it also requires staff dedication, interest from the players and that people are online at those times.

Hey. I'm a 20-something fella from Finland. Used to RP a shitton back in the good ol' San Andreas days, mainly MTA, think Valhalla, Vedic, Arsenic, Riot (IIRC) etc. Randomly came across GTAN and this server, and while I haven't roleplayed for a LOOOOONG while, the little kid in me got a little excited when I saw that GTA V had a real life RP server. I remember dreaming about a GTA IV RP server when I was a kiddo. Times have changed. Anyway, I'm just wandering and seeing if I still got it in me to do some RP. Real life is busy and RP was such a time waster for me back in the day, but it was so much fun and I had so many great experiences and met great people. If you're from the Valhalla-era MTA days, drop in and say hi! I wonder what those peeps do nowadays.
