    Aiming dot.

Huge -1 from me. If you don't know where the middle of your screen is then go to the gun range and practice. We shouldn't add something in that is less realistic and breaks immersion just because a few bad eggs cheat the system. Remember this is about RP, not about winning. I happy middle ground might be to make the weapon sights line up properly when you go first person, but I'm not sure this is worth the dev effort or even a good idea.
  2. I created this thread wondering if some of these ideas were currently in place, but now this sounds like a suggestion thread. I apologize if I put this in the wrong location.
  3. I believe if you take the incentives AND the quality assurance metrics it could have a positive impact on the quantity of quizzes processed without impacting the quality of players accepted. This would have to be a comprehensive package though. You want to keep your quiz team member status? Do at least 3 per day on average over your past four weeks, AND know that if you accept a bunch of terrible applicants that eventually get permanently banned or have repeated bans you will lose your status. You no longer feel like you're missing out on playing because you make a small bit of cash while going through quizzes, so more quizzes get done. This is both a carrot and a stick when paired with the above bullet point because it incentivizes you to do quizzes, and incentivizes you accept good applicants or you lose your status and the ability to make a bit of cash in this way (sometimes you have time for a few quizzes, but not to get into making money in game).
  4. The point I tried to make is that the monetary incentive wouldn't be more than you could reasonably earn by playing the game. It should be just enough to make team members feel like they aren't completely missing out by not playing.
  5. I have a couple of questions purely for curiosity. I was accepted 5-6 weeks ago, so this isn't about me at all. I want to know how the quiz team system works. Do quiz team members have a minimum average quiz/day? For example, after 4 weeks should they have averaged at least 5 quizzes per day to keep their quiz team status? Do you track the quality of a quiz team member's decisions? For example, how many players that a quiz team member accepted end up getting banned. Some way to know if a quiz team member seems to accept a disproportionate amount of bad eggs. If they do, they get removed. Are there in-game incentives for quiz team members? I know they primarily do it to help and support the server, but I can imagine since they love the server they also want to play and feel like they're missing out a bit while running through 10-20 quizzes. Something like $500 per quiz decision. The amount can be argued, but it should be balanced (enough to make quiz team members not feel like they're missing out on playing, but not too much).
  6. Solution: It looks like you have to use "N" to talk in game. The EclipseRP VOIP system doesn't care if you set it to a different key in game. Hope this helps someone in the future.
  7. It's my understanding that servers running on RageMP implement their own voice communication, so at the very least it isn't unusual that my mic works in GTA:Online and other private servers but not EclipseRP. I'm here to figure out what I can do to get it working. Here is some context for what I've tried: I have verified that my mic volume level in windows is set to 100% and have listened to the device to make sure it is adequately loud. I set Windows to not allow an app to take control of an audio device, so it should be shared and not mute sound. Multiple microphones (USB & Jack) work in Discord and in other GTA servers. I have set the mic sensitivity in game all the way to max (so it is most sensitive) and tried the opposite just to be sure. I have tried voice activation and push to talk. I have made sure my GTA online "m" setting for online communication is set to "Everyone" instead of "myself" or "only friends" (I don't think this matters, but I'm trying anything) I have restarted RageMP multiple times, connected directly, connected through the server browser, and restarted my PC I have tried having an audio jack mic plugged in alongside the USB mic to make sure something is registered. (Windows is weird w/ audio devices, this is a common trick to get Stereo Mix to work when using a USB headset, so I figured it could maybe work here). I made sure my Steam settings for voice communication are set to the right mic. Even had a voice chat with a friend over Steam. 1) What is the default voice push to talk key bind (I believe it is N)? I've rebound my keys and maybe the voice client has an issue with that. I'd like to set to default and see what happens. 2) Do other people see the character menu when you hit escape that has the Single Player character options? It is possible rageMP is launching Single Player mode which isn't set up to transmit voice audio. I found a post about this digging through the archives with a potential solution and I'll try it when I get home, but I doubt this is the same issue since I'm able to fully connect to the server and play. Has anyone else experienced issues with their microphone not transmitting sound in EclipseRP? What did you do to fix it? Did it randomly start working?
