  1. -1 People get scammed IRL all the time it's just not as known. If you were to hand a pinkslip to someone IRL and sign it off your car is gone.

It's your own responsibility to not get scammed, you shouldn't have to rely on server rules to stop you from making IC mistakes.

As for people bleeting out intentionally trying to scam, there is this in the rulebook:

  2. Ding had a recent run in with the Police Department. It ended up in them attempting to detain him.
Before they got close enough he called over the radio for backup to his location and Bruce drove up to help his Brother.

This resulted in a shootout with the Officer, luckily for the two brothers who was alone.
Bruce helped Ding up from the ground and they jumped in the car before backup arrived.

    XzsEG1l.jpg

The two brothers headed up in the hills to lay low for a while. In the meantime Bruce attempted to remove Dings cuffs.
After successfully removing the cuffs they hopped back in the car to get shelter from the rain.

    oZMH1eP.jpg

Whilst the two brothers were laying low they contacted the next in command member from the Triads, Chinese Pete.
Pete arrived and brought up some supplies and food for the night so the two can lay low in peace.

fEtUWuA.jpgNow that the heat had died down again the brothers headed back into the city and got back to action.

  3. Thought it be best I share my opinion on some of the comments as well:

I'm a high ranked member from a gang that is directly involved it this war, I can assure you that the gangs aren't going out looking to DM but a war is a war and bullets will be fired. Even if some fired are mistakes, this also happens IRL.

The second area I would like to raise is the "Staff shouldn't be allowed to participate in gangs/lead them." This is absurd, all staff members join the server as normal players to begin with and they're going to stick with the RP that they enjoy. If staff weren't allowed to join gangs they shouldn't be allowed in PD either in my opinion. This is due to PD having a direct influence on the criminal RP of the server.

When it comes to the section of "Gang Leaders taking accountability" This already happens. All Official gangs and most unofficial have a punishment system in place for when it comes to members breaking rules. Just because they're part of the same gang it doesn't mean they're exempt from ECRP rules.

The final point I'd like to raise is the "Gangs need to talk to staff." As you're inexperienced with the whole criminal side of the server let me help. Every official and most unofficial gangs have "Faction Handlers". These are staff members who are designated to help manage and advise the OOC aspects of the gang. If there are any issues noticed from staff it will be raised to the gang. I can also assure you that regular meetings from the gangs leaders and their handlers occur to keep the staff updated.

Things only turn into an OOC issue when people take any given chance to the forums and even sometimes intentionally bait out reports.

  4. I'm neutral with this one in my opinion.

I think the best solution would not be for KoS to be allowed but have "Deathmatching" apply less strictly to gang shootouts etc.

The amount of time I've seen an opposing gang member run into an active shootout, get shot and complain about DM is crazy.

I do like the sound of having to make it "Official" that the gangs are at war instead of hitting each other over and over. But I'll have to disagree with the always wearing gang colours section. Gangs like the Clowns for instance don't stick to a strict colour scheme and you're not going to put a mask on before every shootout.

  5. -1 in my opinion.

If you're willing to trade outwith already scripted areas such as High End the risk should always be a factor. This would also add unneeded limits to potential criminal RP of scamming and gun trading etc. If you want to buy an illegal gun or evade tax there's always the risk of the trade falling apart. It's the same IRL.

  6. The war was about to swing into full action. The Triads were meeting up with their allies ahead of time.
    EiRIb77.jpg

The meeting locations throughout the war were always changed.
This stopped the police and rival gangs keeping track of the operations.

    wcvuRXA.jpg

Now that the plans had been set it place it was time to truly go to war.
    n70Unke.jpg

The Triads and their allies went out in full force, showing no mercy for the enemy.
    IJnDH4b.jpg

Convoys were formed to hunt down the Rival Gangs and take them off the streets, the numbers were unmatched.
    8Fj0p5Q.jpg

The opportunity was always seized to hit up any of the Rival Gangs. The war was still in full action.
    IbwJMJE.jpg

The tension was growing high in the war so the groups parked up and decided to have a little dance party to shake off the nerves.

  7. On 7/16/2018 at 4:39 AM, Flucifial said:

This would be a great way to make tax evasion roleplay, avoid paying hefty fines from the Los Santos Police Department for criminal roleplay, and more!

Big +1 to this part, I'd like to see it added as an inventory. If it was to happen I believe it should have no item volume and just occupy a slot.

As for the argument of this reducing RP interaction I totally disagree. This gives another physical item to interact with during RP instead of using a scripted /pay that performs an AME and no further interaction.

People are always encouraged to play at a high standard of RP and I don't think a new system should be avoided because a few individuals may make a poor effort when rp'ing.

  8. Recently there had been rumors about a big issue that was about to break out across the city of Los Santos.
The Triads decided it would be best to move on from their neutral standpoint and take a side.

First of the group met with some old and good friends from Los Zetas.
Some key plans were discussed and the Triads gathered a better understanding of what was about to go down.

    q8il0Ab.jpg

Now that the group had talked with their old friends, they moved on and reached out to a close ally of Los Zetas, The Clowns.
A couple of the higher-ups in the Triads are old friends with many members of the Clowns so the conversation went down well.

The groups headed off on good terms and the Triads began preparations for what was about to occur.
    V9iqPEg.jpg

The Irish Mob also reached out to the Triads.
They wanted to discuss their situation and see what side the Triads were planning to take.
Conversations were made but the Triads were not very strongly attached to this gang, unlike the others who they had talked with.

    vXAnTcj.jpg

After an organisation meeting, The Triads made their decision official and chose what side they were going to stand with.
Now it was time to get to work, The city was about to turn into chaos.

  9. Following the Triads beginning to enforce their area of influence more conversations were had with the local business owners.
The group parked up outside the gun store and went in to check out the stock.
    NVO1CUn.jpg

Luckily for the Triads the owner of the local gun shop was a good friend to a few members.
Some business plans were made and the Triads offered to protect the local store from any crime.

  10. Following the Triads latest operations they had been growing in both size and influence.
They decided it was time to inform the members of their area of influence.

    AnCOObO.png

The group have had chats with the business owners around Little Seoul.
Some arrangements to allow their operations to stay on going and cause minimal issues.

  11. The Zetas were patrolling the street and showing off their numbers in a peaceful cruise.
The Triads decided to come along and join in on the fun.
    Jw7SGeR.jpg

Everyone parked up at a lot and some unwanted attention was attracted as cops were sitting scouting everyone out.
The Triads got out and made some conversation with the gang, asking if anyone wanted to buy some noodles.

  12. -1 to this unfortunately. People are willing to pay the prices as the end of the day. Supply and Demand will always exist.

I also digaree with giving all of the real estate ownership to one business (which is also owned by you personally). This will just monopolise the market and in the end make you a "big buck" as at the end of the day your prices will follow supply and demand.

The solution: Add more houses in more locations for all price ranges. I know there are already many mapped houses waiting to be implemented.

  13. Strong -1 I'm afraid. The crosshair removal rewards some skill when it comes to aiming. Prevents people who are fresh in the server coming in and being pro shooters taking down the whole server with a pistol.

  14. Recently the Triads have been looking for ways to get involved with some legal operations as a cover act.
    rkxpIJf.jpg

The group stopped by to ask a man if he wanted to buy some noodles, he refused the offer and said that he owned a casino.
They went to check this out and see if the man was telling the truth.

    IGHYHKl.jpg

The men tried their best against the dealer but in the end the House always wins. Potential business plans were discussed.
The men were given a tour round the casino. In the near future the Triads may be offering legal protection to them.

    vVjlY1Y.jpg

Bruce on the other hand was not happy with the House always winning and had something to say about it.

  15. More members had been staying dedicated towards the Triads, it was time to return the favor.
    mn5J8mo.jpg

As the Incense Master was absent for the ceremony we had someone else cover his role.
    05wDdnq.jpg

As standard procedure when promoting any individual they had to recite the Chinese scripts.
    eSa9Aw4.jpg

The two members had now been officially promoted and it was time to get them their new uniform.
As always the cost for the clothing was covered by the organisation.

  16. With the recent changes to the gun licensing the Triads managed to get a connection to buy them some loaded guns.
However, the guns could be tracked. The serials on the guns needed to be removed first.

    NymUMe9.jpg

Once the guns were cleaned they were loaded back up into the bag and hidden back in the compartment.
The Triads already have enough heat on their backs and can't risk their supplier being caught.

  17. The Triads had been working hard recently and were getting ready to make a big impact on the city of Los Santos.
It was time to take out the big guns and show that the Triads were not here to mess around.

    JHUVQ62.jpg

The members set off as a masked convoy, hunting down for anything that is pleasing to their eyes.
    After a successful night
some good money was made and most importantly the armory was re-stocked.

  18. One of the Triad members had been working extremely hard throughout the last few weeks.
    3EwPGBN.jpg

Nick was directly rewarded for his efforts. We took it out of tradition and promoted him. Hard work pays off.
    oS8Q5Gm.jpg

Nick's new responsibilities were explained to him and he happily accepted the position.

The Triads are a family. We stick together and no one should turn their backs on each other.
