The solution for non-steam version doesn't work. The RAGE Multiplayer client just freezes when trying to join.

After playing for 15 minutes on my FIRST log on, my game crashes. After rejoining it just keeps on crashing and it's pissing me off. How can I solve this? I'm not even able to do one single delivery of trucking, or drive around the block
