I am a Belarusian who came to the United States in 2006 as a 16 year-old. As a child, living in Belarus, I worked for a scrap yard deconstructing old war machines from the recently dissolved USSR and spent many days dreaming of building machines to help others. Now that I am planning to stay more permanently I feel that a grounded job is the way for me to keep myself steady and assure I don't have to repeat the cold nights of my childhood. I lived in Liberty City working during the day at the port at nights at a Junkyard/Back door chop shop with a childhood friend. Sadly, I was never much good at mathematics, but I was good with cars and worked many years both taking apart older models and helping patch that which could be redeemed at the scrap yard. I moved out here to Los Santos at 23 after a misunderstanding with a local crooked cop who tried to sell the yard my friend's stolen car. Upon arrival I began doing any and all side jobs I could find and was finally able to survive off of completely legal (though dirty) work. Despite all, 2 years ago I had to return to Belarus to care for my now late mother. Now that I am back, I plan on living a life my parents would be proud of and securing a position where my children won't have to do what I did to survive.
