Introduction to Legal Player Factions
A legal player faction is defined as a faction created by a member(s) of the community, rather than a server lore faction created, managed, and funded ICly by the Los Santos Government and out of character by LFM. As a legal player faction, this system is designed with the intention and purpose of helping both you and your faction succeed within the community.
After meeting the designated requirements for your faction, you will need to fill out a form that outlines certain aspects of your faction and submit it. From there, the Legal Faction Management team will join your Discord server to assist with the continuation of the process and answer any questions you may have.

Step 1: Create Your Faction
When creating the idea for your legal faction, we encourage players to explore unique opportunities that fill gaps within the roleplay community. While that is not to say factions with similar ideas will not be considered, your goal should always be to bring something new, exciting, and fresh - whether that be with roleplay opportunities, factions concepts, etc.
While not an exhaustive list, some legal faction ideas could be things like hospitality ventures such as hotels and restaurants, night clubs, motorcycle clubs, car clubs, or business endeavors such as loan companies or skydiving. The sky's the limit and players are encouraged to use their imagination.
Now that your faction idea has been created, it’s time to start thinking on how to execute it. While there is no right or wrong way to go about creating your legal faction, some questions to keep in mind while starting on this endeavor are as follows:
What are the pillars (core values) of your faction?
What does your faction bring to the community?
What will your faction’s structure look like when it comes to members and/or employees?
What’s the primary mission of your faction?
What’s the history of your faction and what brought it to Los Santos?
How does your faction plan on integrating into the community and interacting with others?
What are your goals for the faction and what are you hoping to achieve?
What type of partnerships are you looking to create with your faction?
What will your legal faction’s logo or emblem be?
Where will your faction primarily be located, if anywhere?
Steps 2 and 3: Create and Maintain a Faction Thread
Note: All faction threads must have text. If you opt to use graphics to showcase your faction, a spoiler must be used at the end containing all text within the graphic. You can do so by typing [ spoiler ] Text here [ /spoiler ] (without the spaces). Note that this will not show it is working in the preview of your post, but it will once you post it.
Your first post should build the foundation for your faction’s future. It should aim to answer most of the questions listed above and serve as a reference point that highlights everything your faction is about. How, exactly, you plan on doing so is up to you but keep in mind when creating it that anyone who reads it should walk away knowing what makes you unique and what you’re about.
From there, Legal Faction Management expects to see at least one post each fortnight that not only showcases your activities in game but displays the progression your faction is making.
Posts should be written by yourself or your faction members and not AI generated
Posts should highlight the uniqueness of your faction
Posts should be made by more than just the faction leader
Posts can be a collage of your week. However, we do expect to see a mixture of posts.
Step 4: Apply for Legal Tier Rewards
Once your forum thread has been established and active for 14 days, you are eligible to apply to gain access to Legal Tier Rewards. You can apply by clicking here.
Upon receiving the form submission, Legal Faction Management will verify the following to determine whether or not your faction is eligible:
The faction thread is at least 14 days old prior to the point of submission
The first faction thread showcases the foundation of your legal faction
The faction thread has sufficient posts beneath the original post to meet the 1 posts each fortnight (14 days) minimum
Your faction is unique and displays your contributions to the community
Members of your faction are primarily punishment free of severe rule breaks
If given access to Legal Faction Management assistance and entering into the Legal Reward Tier System, you will be provided benefits such as alternate roleplay scenarios facilitated by LFM and other rewards that can be found here.
If you are denied, Legal Faction Management will meet with Faction Leadership to discuss the reason for the denial and provide guidance on areas of improvement.
Going Forward
Throughout your time in the Legal Reward Tier System, we will continue to monitor your faction during your time with us for the following:
One post each fortnight minimum by various members of the faction
In game activity
Providing unique, positive contributions to the ECRP community
Faction member punishments and ability to adhere to ECRP server rules
Failure to meet the above expectations may result in a removal of in game privileges or demotion within the Legal Tier System.
