  1. Hello, I’m David Foley, and here’s my story… when I was first born I Lived with my parents for two months but due to my parent’s addiction to drugs I got taken away and ended up living with my grandparents. I grew up in a small town in the suburbs, everyone knew me and I knew everyone It was like a huge group of friends even if you’ve never met a person or just moved there everyone would accept you with open arms. I had a very strong passion for basketball I started playing in 3rd grade and sucked I was horrible I scored like 2 points the whole season but I didn’t give up and I worked hard to try and be the best next season. That year my grandpa got me a basketball hoop and I practiced with him every day I know a year is not much but for my age It was. I got teamed up with a lot of my good friends and I dominated winning back-to-back championships in 4th and 5th grade. I know you’re probably thinking about why he is telling me about this well I developed a strong love for basketball and started playing daily, which has become very important to me. When I was in 6th grade one day I came home from school and my grandma was at my aunt’s which was 2 or so hours away. I was left alone with my grandpa which I wasn’t complaining concerning he was my best friend I opened the front door and yelled: “I’m home!” but no one answered so I looked around to see If I could find him and once I got to the bathroom I found him on the floor unconscious I screamed In fear I sprinted next door to my neighbor’s house and grabbed and he called 911 and an ambulance came and took him to the hospital. I didn’t know It would be the last time I saw my best friend. I was heartbroken I did everything with him we went shopping, fishing, hung out, worked out, and had a great ass time. A few months before that both my parents died of an overdose and I was alone I had no father figure in my life and my grandma just made me work and favored my twin sister. Throughout middle school, my only escape was basketball that’s why I’m so grateful for my grandpa and what he did for me without him I would be nothing. High school was easy I always had good grades and was always one of the most athletic kids in my grade going into my senior year already had offers from Division 2 schools and a few division 1 schools to go and play basketball. In the 3rd game of the season I went in for a layup and I looked down and I couldn’t stand I tore my ACL and my career was done. I knew I had to start working so I started working at the nuclear power my grandpa worked and started to make a good amount of money once I was 20 I decided It was time to move out and I left everything and moved to Los Santos.
