Can you grow weed not at the spots around the map I mean can you buy planters to grow them in like could I go up to a gang and ask to buy a few planters? (If they are a thing)

some of them I know pretty well at one point I was asked to join their gang (I couldn't due to real world circumstances) but do you think it is just a gang secret.
