  1. Jonathan Jose Davison aka Cat (DOB – 24/11/1982) is a War veteran who is fighting the post-war psychological battle. In December 2004, he was just 22 years old when he was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He worked as a medic and was given the nickname 'Cat' which is an abbreviation for ‘catheter’ as he was especially skilled in properly placing this equipment on severely injured soldiers. From November 2004 to March 2005, he served as a Specialist with the 1st Cavalry Division in Baghdad, Afghanistan. Jose was brought up in the slums of Tijuana, Mexico and inherited the harsh aspects of life. Unfortunate events pushed him to migrate to US later on. He stands at 6 feet tall and has a lanky build paired with a tanned skin complexion. His eyes are dark brown, and his hair is black. He always has a serious appearance which is enhanced due to his sharp hawk-like facial features. Jose served as a medic in Iraq, tending to the wounded and witnessing people die and suffer in front of him. He witnessed a large number of people take their final breaths in his hands and began to blame himself for the majority of their deaths. He was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and was ruled unfit for battle. It was diagnosed that he suffered from PTSD as a result of shoulder injuries inflicted by bullets and mental anguish induced by violence and death. He participated in peer counseling sessions that had been planned for battlefield medics. Alleyways and dumpsters were particular sources of anxiety for him. Doctors projected that this was due to the frequent treatment of the wounded behind dumpsters that covered the firing line, even if he had no recollection of what happened to him. Eventually, he gave up the counseling sessions and meds. He ended up losing his fiancée as a result of continual disputes resulted from his inability to find contentment in any activity. This combined with his frequent anger outbursts, made him an avoided and outcasted person anywhere he’d go and make an impression. The death of his parents occurred when he was only a little kid as a result of a mob fight. He and his sister could migrate to US following this unfortunate incident with the intervention of a Christian charitable foundation. His sister was the only person with whom he could communicate without being judged. Jose came back to her after all the hardships that followed with his ex-military career. She decided to keep him in her home, as he was suffering with his psychological wounds. By the time Jose was 30 years old, he had developed an addiction to alcohol and crystal meth. He would work at a steel foundry for a daily wage and waste it on booze and meth. He reasoned that by being high, he would be able to relax and forget all his miseries. He was of the opinion that he needed more physical activity in order to maintain his mental fitness. That's when he came into contact with a local gang of shoplifters who were all youngsters and trying their luck as robbers. He became a member of this gang thinking that he would receive enough action to keep his mind occupied. Time spent enlisted had made him forget moral aspects of life and he was willing to carry out the dirtiest jobs. One of the jobs resulted him being confronted with the prospect of killing an elderly person. Even though he hesitated he had no choice but to do it. Unlike what happened in the battlefield, the murder was a cold blooded one and he couldn’t have peace of mind thinking over it. He was fed up with what he did and fled town immediately. With the shock inflicted following this incident, he found it possible to waive off his drug addiction, which was the only good thing happened to him after some time. It was his desire to find some other work that brought him to San Francisco. While working as a delivery guy on the outskirts of town, he still craved for a tough job that kept him physically occupied. Every night, he could be found in one of the many pubs around town, drinking heartily with a random companion. He could eventually land a job as a bouncer which satisfied his desire for action to some extent. Simon Windsworth, an Iraq War veteran who has since retired and is now employed as a private security contractor, was introduced to him on one of these late-night adventures. Overseeing the security requirements of high-profile businessmen was the job of Simon’s security firm. Jose was signed up to join Simon on a security detail in Los Santos, as a result of his persuasiveness. Jose's expertise in firearms, medical treatment, and hands on combat as explained, was going to be of advantage for the security work. The fact that he will be handsomely compensated made Jose have no second thoughts. He phoned his sister informing her that he was relocating to Los Santos and that he was accompanying Simon on the journey. While at Los Santos, Jose expects to run into action and all sorts of adventures. Due to his responsible position, he tries to keep a clean record but has trouble of getting easily persuaded in to crimes, trying to earn an easy buck.
