  1. Just wedge the jack under the car further and try not to touch the car or handle with your character model when you try to raise it. If it's still bugging on you just place the removed tires on a plane that's slightly elevated to even the height of the car back out.

Rotating the jack has never given me an issue. It's only once the first set of wheels have been removed  I find.

  2. It's hard to tell players that they should always go for the RP first and learn to take the L but then justify locking them in a cell for hours.

Obviously everything is situational but I can totally understand where the frustration sets in for players that primarily play as a criminal and find the mentality very contradicting.

  3. So which one of you fucking retards have been approaching me IC talking about cock and AL Qaieda wanting me to give your friend handies?

I know you think it's funny. But it's really just fucking weird and definitely a rule break.

  4. I get the impression you may think I was attacking you or your facton Corbyn. I apologize if that is the case. If anyone was throwing around bigoted remarks then they deserve what they got. I have absolutely no idea what the specifics were involving any individuals let go from SD. I was just speaking in general about what free speech is.

    With that being said....

Freedom of speech is universal, if you think that your rights are being infringed upon because of removal or denial from a faction, you have a very warped view of what freedom of speech means. As the person in charge of SD's recruitment, I have, with the support of my command, a responsibility to maintain the faction as a comfortable and enjoyable environment for all members. I have no interest in people with certain warped viewpoints of gay rights joining the faction and feeling uncomfortable with our progressive attitude on the situation, and furthermore would not want to see these individuals making our faction members uncomfortable.

Individuals and players in this community are free to hold whichever viewpoints they feel proper, and furthermore express those viewpoints with those speech, I think this is undeniable. What is also undeniable, though, is that as an independent faction, we have the right (and responsibility in my view) to restrict our private faction to only those we see fit. Just as you would see a consequence for not meeting other fitness requirements such as being OOCly toxic on forums or discord, an accepting and tolerant view is also a requirement for admission to our faction.

Every sentence you wrote in the above paragraphs immediately contradicts itself within the next.

By and large there seems to be a growing intolerance for opinions that deviate from progressive ones. A large problem is this idea that freedom of speech does not come without consequence. As though if someone holds an opinion that isn't progressive it's completely okay to aggravate, belittle and harass that person as a consequence for their beliefs. This type of behaviour goes completely unpunished and in a lot of cases it's encouraged privately.

It's precisely this kind of behaviour that further drives a wedge between progressives and conservatives. Hearts and minds aren't won by shit posting or pretentious sarcasm and if winning the hearts and minds of others isn't their goal then I'm curious to know what their goal is by doing so.

  5. Freedom of speech means having the ability to express yourself and your opinions without consequence.

It's precisely what's allowed people to fight ignorant viewpoints that have persisted as social norms for decades. Without it, you wouldn't have progressive movements like the LGBTQ.

Saying that freedom of speech isn't freedom from consequence is a fallacy that even you don't believe in. You only believe it in this particular circumstance because it suits punishing those who disagree with you.

Imagine having a religious employer that fires you because you're gay and although you have a right to be gay and openly support your lifestyle, this employer would still have the right to fire you because your "beliefs" aren't free from consequences.

  6.  I have no problem with the event taking place but the pushback is easily foreseen.

The problem with people taking an issue with the LGBTQ community is that these days most criticisms are completely warranted. It's become a sort of protected lobbyist group that's able to hide behind rampant claims of homophobia with absolutely zero evidence evidence of such. In a lot of cases this community had outright defended defamation of completely innocent people and seemingly take no issue consciously lying to do so.

It's unfortunate that people have an issue with who other people sleep with. It's also weird. But they don't have to believe in anything they don't want to. That doesn't give those people the right to harass others because of who they are though

  7. -1

All the power to those who wish to express their sexuality or gender-fluidity.

But the LGBTQ community has become more of a corporate shielded hate group hell bent on making sure anyone with a difference in opinion than themselves is shamed away into the void.  The passive-aggressive seething vitriol Herbo was instantly met with at the slightest pushback is a good example.

This community has come out with some wild ass ideas that are incredibly divisive even amongst the LGBTQ community.

I totally understand why people want to celebrate themselves and who they are. There is nothing wrong with that. But there are people that disagree with the political/social ideals this group sends and that's okay too.

  8. Well here's the options:

    A) They make a late radio call for backup or to warn that they're being arrested and you report them which possibly will result in a banned player.

Or B) You radio for backup knowing that the individual just made a radio call and continue on ICly... because 1) there is no RP that would require them to not use their radio barring a major injury and 2) with the exception of not getting their frequency who really cares?

You are, of course, role-playing a character who's only intentions should be keeping the peace and maintaining law and order unless you're crooked.

This is a dumb conversation that shouldn't even be taking place to begin with.

Where did I write anything about anyone being the main character?? I never said it was real life. You are correct yes it is a video game. The premise of the video game is to play a role of a character. Not everyone should have the same opportunities and if you /DO/ want those opportunities then earn them.

You want lysergic readily available? Make a gang, post an RP thread and get an F4 menu just like the people before you did.

Again: Why should YOUR character have the same opportunity as someone else that has done the hard work?

I don't understand where you got the impression I had a problem with any of this.
Anything I said about gang leaders being able to have lysergic readily available in comparison to others that have to wait for it to be dropped is just a comparison I was making in regards to others saying tables "print money".

Come out your feelings man or just simply improve your reading comprehension.

  10. what are you on about?
I'm talking about having cartel connections and being able to have lysergic readily available instead of needing to pay someone and wait to have it dropped for you.

You are not the main character. Everyone will have an opportunity to do the same things everyone else does.

    This isn't real life.
    It's a video game.

  11. Cooking is trash and I refused to do it anymore. But I can see why some players would rather drop a bunch of lysergic and sit in their property for 6 hours cooking. It cuts the grind down or at least allows you to get it over and done with in one shot and gives you the time/money to go and do what you want to do. The only people that were able to sit and "print money" are gang leaders that can drop their own lysergic.

All of the buffs to crim activities are small and often include some form of chance. Ie. Randomized items appearing or what time zone you're playing in and how many people are online. The small buffs to crim activities does not make up for gutting the best means of making money crims have.

Is this good for getting players out of properties and into the open? Absolutely.

    ...providing they stick around.

The issue with that is that it's very hard to make something more appealing than a money printer in a separate virtual world. Nothing will compete with that.

That's fair but private labs are incredibly boring. Most people dont even like cooking. It's just the best means of making money. The nerf is essentially punishing people who've invested (a lot)  into a system they were forced into because there is no alternative means to making money at that pace anywhere else.
