Regardless of the nature of the said shooting. obvious clear rulebreak

What  are the LEO's made of inside of this server, I knew the armor situation was like a problem brought up, BUT this is actually insane the whole "just do not fight the police" meta is clearly true.

I was under the impression armor did not negate headshot damage, but I guess it does which is just sad

Im all for PD and SD being better in terms of like access to better guns and armor, but this is ridiculous at a balance standard

This is just ridiculous really. Would be curious to know if this is 100AP? Cant even imagine how OP 150 or 200 would be if it is.

Either a new script for aiming gun at the dealer to make the interrogation longer and more meaningful or the bribery system. Maybe both with long animation consisting of you taking cash out which would be visible and giving it to the dealer while speaking with him. That way criminals can choose one of the two ways to get the information.

We should also speak about the play to win mentality almost every single official faction shows, even though they claim otherwise on their faction threads. How come every faction places the big shipments in the morning when there's like 60 players online, some of which log in exactly for this and then simply log out once the drop is picked up. And no, that's not their actual playtime window that they use to enjoy the server.

Factions place orders at a certain time because of how easy it is to comp a drop as mentioned above, its as simple as that. That needs to be addressed too IMO. We've had other players come into the city in the morning, lining up at our dealer with about 10 people checking it constantly until its comped, which will work like 99% of the time.

  3. So yesterday our faction decided we where going to rob route 68 bank, we gathered our members and got some others from another faction to help us with the job.

We wanted good RP more than anything else, so decided a hostage situation would best fit this time, after we discussed plans thoroughly at our HQ, we set out to find a potential hostage (one which would give us the most amount of leverage in negotiations)

On Joshua RD we noticed an SD vehicle parked on his own, we scouted the area for 10 mins, and quickly swooped in when it was safe to get him in our vehicle and take him to the bank.

The situation was almost instantly voided when the member of SD reported the situation to admins.

What I struggle to understand is, the situation was voided because we needed specific escalation with the individual in order to take him hostage for the planned job.

Now I can totally understand the need for escalation for a kidnapping with another criminal organisation member , especially if it would result in that person taking a financial loss for example, but I feel the situation is completely different.

To me, it doesnt make sense that we would need to specifically  escalate a situation on a personal level with a member of PD/SD in order to use them as leverage for a bank job. (especially if they dont lose anything and would have ultimately been part of a really fun RP experience)

The rules have changed with regard to kidnapping PD/SD, to restrict that to once per week, which I totally agree with, if that is gonna happen on a daily basis then it just become unrealistic, so its not like we are doing this on a daily or even weekly basis.

My point is realistically their would be no reason for prior escalation to take a hostage for a bank job and therefor think the "kidnapping" rule doesnt really apply in this specific situation.

Would love to know anyone's thoughts or explanations on the situation.

    Much Love,

    Marty

  4. This is really disappointing to see in my opinion. My experience with BD in the city has taught me a lot about how to RP. They are really creative with creating RP scenarios in the Crim world and constantly think of new and exciting ways to make this server an enjoyable place for both other crims, and police. Their was a recent report from Shenzen Dragons, who where given an NRP punishment for shooting cops whilst their alias was very close to them, by that logic, surely this is NRP from the cops side. As soon as they open fire and kill the gang members, thats it, the RP is over. Its done. Surely it would have been more fun for all involved to actually carry out a hostage situation RP scenario, rather than gunning them down with automatic rifles whilst their fellow SD colleague is extremely close and could easily be killed in the crossfire.

BD have enough members to carry out a bank job in a way which would result in them leaving and evading before the police ever arrive (not on every occasion, but in most) Instead they chose to create a very unique and exciting RP scenario, unfortunately the Police decided to end the RP immediately, which in my opinion, was carried out a very unrealistic manner.

My question is why are actions that would be considered NRP handled in game via an IA report, and not by admins in an OOCly manner?

Perhaps they should be considered by admins who are not the leader of the faction?

Or perhaps, if its not already a thing, cops should have some training OOCly of how to react and deal with certain situations?

    Just my thoughts.

P.S 99.9% of my interactions with police in the city is that they hold a very high standard of RP, so please dont take this as some crim v cop mad man, as much as i hate them ICly, got nothing but respect and admiration OOCly 🙂

  5. -1 from me to be honest.

I think it would be a short term fix to a long term problem, that would ultimately have a detrimental effect on the quality of the server.

If the goal is to increase the number of active players in the server, then this is not an easy fix, I agree with Bala above in most of the points he made. I'd hate to see the server increase by several hundred players that have 9 or more Non-RP warnings, or several DM punishments, or MG etc. Major updates is the way to keep people engaged , and make them stay around for longer.

One thing I would say is that their seems to be some what of an inconsistency in punishments from admins, maybe that should change in some way IDK.
