Family History 1960 Tokyo, Japan The Story of the Black Clover starts in the year 1960 with a Japanese-Sri Lankan man named Zhao Willis. A veteran of World War 2 decided to move back to Japan. Our story begins here. Zhao was a man known for his debauchery. He was already on his 6th marriage, which was failing already. He sired a child outside of his marriage with a woman named Takahashi. He already had a bunch of children from his previous marriages who he still kept in touch with. 1995 Tokyo, Japan 35 years had passed since Zhao had moved to Tokyo. He had moved all of his children to Tokyo, and now his children also had kids. Zhao was now a grandfather. Zhao had started a criminal empire in Tokyo. Everything that was illegal in Tokyo, Zhao had his hand in. The Willis family was rich, insanely rich. But you know what they say: hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times. The story was the same with Zhao's empire. His children had started getting too comfortable with the riches they had. Little by little, he saw his hard work burning right before his eyes. The only thing that gave him comfort was his grandkids, who he wanted to carry on his legacy. But the only problem was his grandkids were still infants; he couldn't properly train them at all to take his stead, and he knew his health was declining rapidly. Knowing that his good-for-nothing children would ruin his legacy and the grandkids would end up being brought up like commoners, he arranged for each and every one to be sent away to different countries. He had 8 grandkidsin total. Chucks Willis was the oldest. Alfred Willis - the Second Phoenix Willis - the Third Dark Willis - the Fourth Kiyoshi Willis - the Fifth Harry Willis - the Sixth Elias Willis - the Seventh Ryu Takahashi - The Eighth Everyone except Ryu was sent to a different country. Ryu was raised to be Zhao's prodigy. Ryu was raised under Zhao's wing. Zhao always mentioned that Ryu would be his prodigy; Ryu was a very highly observant and a very keen student. And a very smart strategist as well. But the disaster kept following the Willis family as always, because just 5 years into Ryu's training, Zhao, the head of the family, passed away due to heart failure. Before passing away, Zhao gave Ryu his final lesson. He presented Ryu a 5-leaf clover. Zhao explains to Ryu, "The 5 leaves represent your family. The stem represents you. You have to be the one holding the family together." Ryu was also then relocated to a few other places. And finally, Ryu ran away from his parents to find a better life. He served as a major in a foreign legion army, and once the war was over, he had relocated to Los Santos, finally looking for a quiet life, a place where he could settle down finally, but once again, trouble and bad luck kept following Ryu. He had seen the kind of injustice and unfairness that was happening in the streets. He had also heard of his cousins relocating to Los Santos as well. So he sought out to find them once he had met AJ and the rest of his cousins. They all exchanged stories of their hardships, and Ryu finally started a very inspiring speech. “You all know how hard it is to live here, right? When I first came to this city, I thought this was the place where I could finally live in peace… But I was wrong. I’ve traveled through so many places and seen so many things, and every time I thought, “This is it,” it never was. I’m done running. If I can’t find a place to live, then I’ll make one myself. What a bullshit place this is. Fucking disgusting. It’s not just that we’re serving under someone—there’s nothing worth saving here. Gangs run the streets and the businesses, and the cops? They only flex their power on the citizens. What a shithole. There’s no peace here. So I’ve made up my mind. If there’s no such thing as good or bad, then I’ll be the one to decide what’s good and what’s bad. I’ll be the one to make the law. I’m going to build an empire—my empire. I’m going to take control of all of this. Not as a Takahashi… but as a descendant of our grandfather. That’s why I called you all here. I need your strength to make this happen. I know we’ve never really worked together as a family before, but every one of you has something I need. So for the sake of our bloodline, stand with me. Be the generals of my empire. Swear your allegiance—your loyalty—to me.” After Ryu spoke, everyone agreed, and they decided that they are going to call themselvesthe Black Clover, in honor of their grandfather's final lesson to Ryu. Black Clover Core Values For the members of the Black Clover Loyalty matters more than anything and they value honesty and honor within the members of the Organization, and above all they prefer to stay off the grid when it comes to interactions with the law. So all Kinds of illegal activities are done in a way where it doesnt arouse any suspicion. Our Ideals When it comes to activities done by the organization, there are two kinds Every activity is organized by the blessing of the Oyabun, or the boss. Without his blessing, members of the Black Clover will not be allowed to partake in activities. Some of the activities that members already do are Illegal Street racing Drug Dealing Vehicle Chopping. Illegal Gambling Illegal Fights Loan Sharks Our Culture The Black Clover is a Japanese-Sri Lankan crime family originating from Tokyo, Japan. Currently operating in Paleto Bay, Los Santos The Black Clover is named after a five-leaved clover that the founder's grandfather had given him. The Five Leaves stand for Law Money Security Criminal Power with the stem representing the leader of the organization. About the four different divisions. Money - Headed by the KaiKei Kancho and assisted by his Chui, the members of this division are in charge of logistics and handling money. They also give out loans to people at a lower interest rate, but if you fail to pay them back, you will be getting a visit from the Kyodai and his division. Security - Headed by Kyodai Kancho, the Brawns of the organization. They are the ones maintaining the arsenal of the organization, and they are the ones who will be providing security to members of the org during activities by the organization and paying people who don't pay back the organization a few visits. PR - The Public Relations Division - Headed by ShinGiin Kancho, they are the ones who broker alliances with other organizations, try to grease the corrupted law officials, and often act as mediators during conflicts within divisions. And finally, illegal activities - the Shatei Kancho and his boys are the ones in charge of every illegal thing that happens within the organization. When it comes to this, they are the ones planning what needs to be done and how things get done, and everyone listens to them during these activities. All of the 4 divisions are led by the Oyabun and the Saiko Komon who preside over the activities done by each and every division Recruitment and Promotions Each decision of the Black Clover is brought to the head table, where the Oyabun, Saiko Komon and Kanchos vote on the decision at hand. A hangaround is kept with the organization for a maximum of two weeks, where he will partake in activities by the organization in different divisions, where his skills will be put to the test. After that, a fully made member (Heishi and above) has to vouch for the hangaround to be a recruit, and he will be promoted to recruit. After a hang-around is made a recruit, it becomes the sole responsibility of the made member who vouched to show him the ways of the Black Clover. after another two weeks the recruit's contribution to the organization is reviewed by the head table who take a vote on making him a made member or a Heishi Once they become a Heishi He will have the choice of being assigned to one of the four divisions within the organization. Money, security, illegal activities, or PR, and from then on his promotions will be decided by the head table only. Current Goals ncrease the member count- recruit Dedicated members to be part of the organization. Expand Drug networks Affiliate ourselves with a few other renowned organizations. Find new avenues of making money for the organization. Establish and Find a Base of Operations in Either Paleto Bay or Sandy Shores. Long-Term Goals To be one of the most influential and respected families in Los Santos. To be the guiding hand for other Japanese and Sri Lankan citizens in Los Santos. To never let any other Willis Family member go through the same hardships the Founders had to go through Black Clover Arsenal n terms of weaponry, the members of the Black Clover are known for their practical yet deadly arsenal, favoring compact and reliable firearms suited for both close-quarters and urban engagements. Their standard loadout typically includes .50 caliber pistols, mini submachine guns, and combat shotguns, providing them with versatility and stopping power in any situation. The group has also expressed plans to integrate AK-series rifles into their future operations, valuing their rugged design, easy maintenance, and high adaptability in rough conditions. Unlike many modern organizations that lean toward Western or American-made weapons, Black Clover has a strong preference for Asian-built and locally manufactured armaments, citing their dependability, affordability, and cultural familiarity. This distinct choice not only reflects their strategic practicality but also their philosophical stance - a statement of independence and identity that sets them apart from more conventional, Western-influenced groups. Dress Code The members of Black Clover take great pride in their distinct sense of style, using fashion as a subtle yet powerful form of identity and unity. Their signature colors - red, black, and white - are more than just a palette; they represent the group’s core values of power, loyalty, and purity of purpose. Every outfit, whether worn in the streets or during operations, reflects a careful balance between discipline and individuality. The High Command - consisting of the Boss, Underboss, and the four Captains- are known for their smart-casual attire, exuding an air of authority and composure without resorting to flamboyance. Their outfits often feature tailored jackets, crisp shirts, and minimalist accessories that command respect while maintaining practicality. In contrast, the regular members of Black Clover prefer a more relaxed and street-oriented style, favoring hoodies, vests, cargo pants, and sneakers that allow freedom of movement while still adhering to the organization’s signature color scheme. This contrast in fashion subtly highlights the hierarchy within the group while also reinforcing a shared sense of belonging and pride among all members - from the leadership to the recruits. Vehicles Heavily influenced by their Japanese roots, the members of Black Clover proudly pay homage to their heritage through their choice of vehicles. Rather than opting for luxury Western brands or flashy European imports, they rely on Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) cars for their daily drives - machines known for their precision engineering, reliability, and racing spirit. Their personal garages often feature an impressive lineup of Sultans, Futos, Elegys, Euros, and other iconic Japanese street cars, each customized to reflect the individuality and status of its owner. These vehicles are not just modes of transportation but symbols of discipline, speed, and craftsmanship, mirroring the group’s dedication to both tradition and performance. When it comes to more rugged terrain or tactical mobility, Black Clover members switch to SUVs such as the Baller ST and the Kamacho, balancing luxury with strength and off-road capability. Whether it’s the smooth hum of a turbocharged JDM engine or the imposing presence of their SUVs, every ride they choose tells a story - one of respect for heritage, mastery of modern engineering, and unshakable identity. As soon As AJ landed in the city, He made his way to Paleto Bay where he had parked his beloved Futo, and took it out. He saw a bunch of text messages from his friends and family, His brothers had sent him messages about their cousin Ryu who had also arrived in the city. So He decided to pay them a visit. The Paleto Pier always used to be the hangout spot before the Aj and his brothers went racing. "Been a while”AJ said to himself as he parked his car next to Phoenix's nightshade and Ryu's Euros. The Boys met had a couple beers and talked about their lives in Los Santos. Ryu was pretty young but he was full of ideas and he was very motivated, He had been Grandpa's favorite from the start. A few days later, Ryu called AJ and the boys again to the pier, He gave a very long speech about how they were being treated like second class citizens by the cops, The government wasnt even batting an eyelid over this injustice, as Ryu kept talking AJ felt the same anger he had felt 3 years ago when he was arrested for the first time. He didnt want his younger siblings to go through the same shit that he had gone through. He suggested that whatever Ryu wanted to do he was in. From that Day onwards They Would be known as Black Clover, A Crime Family. One of the main things that AJ stood for was not letting new people fall into the same cycle of hate that they had fallen into. One day while visiting the Grapeseed Farm, He met Ethan, Ethan was fairly new to Los Santos, He told him that he was also from Sri Lanka (AJ's country of Origin) and immediately AJ's caring instinct kicked in and he took Ethan under his wing guiding him on how to make money and other things. And a few days later Ethan and His Friend Steve who was also another Lankan were taken into the Black Clover as Recruits. 2 1
