It was founded in 2016 by an Atlanta-based rapper. Several contemporary artists have expressed allegiance to YSL, but are not contractually signed. The label was embroiled in a major criminal trial from 2022–2024, The founder and 28 YSL members arrested and charged with racketeering and various gang-related crimes in violation of Georgia's RICO Act. Most noted crimes, included Murder, Cultivation, Traffic of Marijuana, and Burglary. Allegedly, YSL was suspected of controlling the criminal marijuana industry throughout Atlanta. YSL was proven in federal court to be a high level street gang. The founder of YSL was imprisoned with other members, some being let go. PRESENT DAY YSL still continuing, now known as "Slime", is currently operating in multiple locations across America, including San Andreas. Most known for their control of illegal Marijuana industry in major areas. Now being ran by multiple leaders, and a council. Decisions and day to day activities are decided by votes within. Sometimes splitting into groups to take on various tasks to maximize profits. Slime has not fell far from the record label industry in San Andreas, just put it to the side for now. Main focuses now being the mass sell of marijuana and burglary. While at the same time protecting each other in the process. Marijuana is needed for so many different things, yet becoming harder and harder for criminal organizations to get. This is where we have decided to step in. We are day in and day out growing and processing the plants and storing them. This is something we plan to do for a very long time, with our operation growing becoming larger, more productive, and established enough to be seen as the gang that is always holding weed when its in need. In a single day, ten stores were hit hard for guns, ammo and heavy amounts of cash, supplying members with artillery to press the opposition and money to continue living their lavish life style.
