ORIGINS

The Gate Keepers originated on the South Side of Carrington, a city that used to be a place where the dreamers came. But when the mills died, so did the safety nets. What followed was predictable. Poverty, violence, and a whole generation raised by the streets. The name "Gate Keepers" came from the entrance to Madison Yard, a set of chain-link gates on an old shipping lot where everything from dice games, to fights, to first deals, to first hits took place. The OGs used to say, "If you stood at the gate, you decided who came in and who didn't. You had power." That became a metaphor for how they saw themselves. Not just soldiers, but controllers. They weren't just surviving the streets; they were regulating them. The Gate Keepers formed initially as a small clique under a larger gang. After a bitter internal power struggle and betrayal by their parent gang, the younger members split off. They rebranded, took over Madison Yard, and built their own name block by block. They weren't just a breakaway group; they were a statement: "We don't follow. We control the gate."

The Gate Keepers made their mark through muscle and hustle. They weren't flashy like the rappers or reckless like the younger hoods. They were strategic, operating like a business. Drugs, protection rackets, stolen goods if it moved through Carrington's South Side, the Gate Keepers were taxing it. Law enforcement knew about them but were hardly capable of catching them. Gate Keepers fled from the police in sleek sports cars whenever there was a risk of being caught with something illegal. They often street raced to hone their abilities and let off steam, but always ensured civilians were out of harm's way. The community feared and respected them all at once, especially when the city failed to provide any stability. When things went south, sometimes it was the Gate Keepers who stepped in by paying for funerals, squashing beefs, and putting food in the bellies of those less fortunate. The world was not so black and white and the line between good and evil blurred. By the 2010s, they had expanded into music, real estate, politics even. Some of their older members wear suits now. But the younger ones? Still on the corners. Still guarding the gates. But now, they're rising in a new city. Los Santos. A place of wonder and shadows, where crime runs rampant and police are brutal. And Gate Keepers plan to make their name known.

WHO WE ARE

All Gate Keepers are held to a few standards: they do not stoop down to others' levels, they do not go out of their way to instigate issues, never steal from within the gang, and ALWAYS hold the gate. Gate Keepers are about exactly what their name implies, gatekeeping. They will be found holding labs and controlling who comes and goes. Street racing in sports cars is their hobby and how they fine tune their driving abilities. When cops show up to the scene, don't be shocked when they flee. Catch them if you can.

MEETING WITH THE SOULS

THE GATE KEEPERS HELD THEIR FIRST MEETING WITH ANOTHER GANG IN LOS SANTOS. OUR SENTINEL, EVER THE DIPLOMAT, REACHED OUT TO MEMBERS OF SOULS TO SET UP A MEETING.
AFTER SOME DISCUSSING A TIME AND PLACE WAS SET.
THE DAY OF THE MEETING WE GATHERED OUR MEMBERS AND HEADED OUT TO THE MEETING SPOT.
WHEN THE MEMBERS OF SOUL PULLED UP EVERYONE INTRODUCED THEMSELVES FOR EVERYONE TO GET ACQUAINTED WITH EACH OTHER.
AFTER A LITTLE BIT OF DISCUSSION, WE CAME TO TERMS TO BUILD ON RELATIONS AND STRENGTHEN FRIENDSHIPS BETWEEN MEMBERS. A COMMON GOAL WAS ESTABLISHED, AND GK LOOKS FORWARD TO FURTHER INTERACTIONS WITH SOULS.

Evade the Enemy, Chase the Win

The Gatekeepers have been racing each other almost every night, constantly pushing their limits, their cars limits and testing each other's skills. At first, they focused on learning new tracks and trying out different driving techniques. Now, all that practice is starting to pay off. They’re getting more comfortable behind the wheel, moving faster, and working better as a team. Their control during high speed turns and quick reactions have clearly improved. This practice hasn’t just helped them win races, it’s also helped them escape from the police. Thanks to the time they’ve spent learning and racing, they’ve managed to get away from multiple chases, using tight routes and quick reactions to disappear before they can be caught.
