Amelia Clark is the middle child in a family of three children, two girls, and one boy - Oliver, Amelia & Emma. Her parents Robert and Mary have been happily married for around 6 years as Amelia enters the world. As a bonus, their family also consisted of a Shiba named Lucy and a black Norwegian Forest Cat named Trouble. She grew up in Boise, Idaho where she stayed until transferring to the Los Santos Sheriff´s Department.

Oliver has always been protective of Amelia, not letting her get into any unnecessary danger. As they were only a year apart, they spent most of their time in the same school, allowing him to protect her better. During prom, he was on high alert for any male that was interested in asking her out, but weirdly enough, she always declined the offers, much rather going with her group of friends.
Emma is the youngest one in the family. She was born with a disability but was able to live close to a normal life with assistance from her carers and her close family. Amelia would often agree to care for her after school and during the weekends to let her parents spend some valuable time alone.

One night in the middle of November 2007 Amelia was woken by someone breaking the glass in the kitchen window. She quickly understood that this was not right and tiptoed into her parent's room to alert them. As they called 911, Amelia went into Emma's bedroom where Oliver was already assisting her into the closet. Amelia followed and closed the door behind her. Through the gap, she recognized the woman that entered the room, it was their neighbor Ann who was a known substance abuser. She was looking through Emma’s medicine cabinet but was detained by two police officers entering the room. Amelia was crying without noticing it, holding her breath trying to stay quiet.

After the break-in, Amelia never got back to her old self. She stopped hanging out after school and focused her time on her homework. Her friends started noticing her absence, but Amelia declined it every time it was brought up - saying she was busy with her little sister. Between time with her family, therapy, and school, her journal was her safe space where she could express all her feelings and thoughts without being challenged. Every night before bed, she would sit down and write details about her day and what happened, trying to sort the train of thoughts happening inside her head.

A few years later, when Amelia attended high school, she felt different and conflicted. Her friends were actively dating, but she did not have any interest in doing so, making her naturally fall behind in conversation and activities. There was no reason for her to go to parties or join her friends as the third wheel. Her feelings were confusing. Her parents often asked her if she had gotten a boyfriend yet or if she had anyone in sight. She always shrugged it off, saying there were no boys of interest going to the same school - She was technically not wrong.

After High School, Amelia enrolled in the Sheriff´s Academy hosted by Idaho County Sheriff´s Department. She was thought about the State Penal Code, Arrest procedures, Scene Management, Crime Scene Management, Firearms Training, Vehicle Operations, and Physical Training. She passed her evaluation on the first try and was set out to serve as Deputy Sheriff I. She successfully joined the Highway Enforcement unit and was promoted to Deputy Sheriff II before the resigned, seeking employment elsewhere.

In April 2021, Amelia successfully transferred from the Idaho County Sheriff´s Department to the Los Santos Sheriff´s Department. She was offered the rank of Deputy Sheriff I. Her initial goals when being employed was to join the Air Support Division and the Field Training Division. During her time working for her promotion to SD II, Emma had a fallback and Amelia had to resign from her position in June 2021, traveling back home to Idaho. She would eventually come back to the Sheriff's Department, more motivated than ever before - but that's a story for another time.

October 2nd, 2022 - Reinstatement

IM20KSZ.png

Amelia was offered to reinstate her back into the Los Santos Sheriff´s Department as a Deputy Sheriff I after passing reinstatement training. This time will be different - she told herself as she submitted her response.

She passed a few days later and was back in her cruiser. During her training period, she got to know new deputies, and the feeling of being welcome and being a part of something bigger had never been stronger. She missed her family at home, especially Emma, but she had to do this for herself.

She was given responsibility. Some people may say that it´s nothing to write home about, but she takes all her tasks very seriously. When walking around in the Sheriff´s station, she saw deputies holding the same dreams as her, but they have made it. She could never look away from the K9s paying attention to their handler during their every step or the deputies in blue shirts, working with parolees, ensuring their reformation.

Amelia had to prove herself to her supervisors and higher-ups, showing them that she was worth the promotion and responsibilities that naturally came with it.

You have been doing good, Amelia - Staff Sergeant Archer said as their cruiser pulled out of the Paleto Sheriff´s Station.
Maybe this is it - She thought to herself as he spoke
Can I have your badge, please? you don´t need it anymore
Umm, yes, of course - She unpinned her badge off her shirt, her hand slightly trembling as she leaned back in her seat, handing it over
Congratulations on your promotion, Amelia; it´s well deserved
She would quietly take a deep breath before looking back out at the road ahead
Thank you!

She did it!

Amelia x Hazel the K9

G5tQyh8.png

Meet Hazel, the most fluffy K9 on the force within the Sheriff’s K9 Divison.
Breed: Border Collie
Specialization: Narcotics

On the 6th of December 2022 a plane landed at the Los Santos International Airport containing multiple canines ordered by the Los Santos Sheriff’s Department. Amelia got excited as she saw the email about the pickup time. Finally

Weeks worth of training was put in and the duo got certified on the 23rd of January 2023.

Hazel has become Amelia’s best friend and nearly the only creature Amelia can fully trust to have her back 100% if anything should happen to her.

After Amelia got Hazel, she has gotten happier and more outgoing. When she’s off duty, you can often find Amelia and Hazel going for long walks in the area of Paleto, the beaches and sometimes even walk up Mount Chiliad.
