So for this week I would like to present to you one of the first features we will intensively be working on once we receive the latest client and server API is 'The Economy' Feature Reveal: The Economy So we have been working hard on perfecting our economy. In the past a lot of SAMP servers faced an issue where there was such a large inflation due to a number of players earning up to hundreds of millions of dollars. Due to such an inflation prices for rare items, and properties as well as vehicles only got higher. Well at Eclipse-RP we have found a solution to combat this issue from happening to us. However we do encourage in-game entrepreneurs and with a successful business it is possible that you will be able to earn millions, hundreds of millions, and even maybe a few billion. This economy is designed to be as realistic as the American economy just with lesser inflation. However your success will depend on the player base and your customers. So at the start of the server don't expect that owning a business you'll be an insta-millionaire. Money Control Money will tightly be controlled. Rather than spawning money for each individual player who completes a job. Money will only be provided to the Government, and Industries starting out who then pay the player. The Government has the ability to print a specific amount of money strategically without damaging the economy or else they will have to begin burning money. Industries will receive grants from the Government that come from the bank to help them kick start their business and pay their employees. Player Owned Businesses will be started from cash that the player has earned or by a bank loan. Each new player adds money to the economy as every new player will have a starting amount in their bank. Banking System In every economy it starts with a bank. An organization in charge of printing the money, loans, and even supplying the Government with grant money to help starting businesses. Players will be able to own a credit card with a limit but will pay back the card with an interest rate Players who store their money in the bank rather on-hand will receive benefits of interest and security. Industrial System The industrial system is key part to having both a successful way and a source of income for players. The industrial will pretty much handle all the transactions between player owned businesses, as well as paying the miners, and farmers for the resources they sell to an industry. Industries are not player owned but there is debate allowing Gangs to control these industries as a legal side of their criminal organization. This will be one way a gang will be able to source income for gang territory, and vehicles. We plan to have the following industries Oil CompanyMiners will supply oil resources to the oil company. [*]Vehicle Manufacture Miners will supply metal to the vehicle manufacture Farmers will supply rubber and cotton to the vehicle manufacture [*]Agriculture Industry Farmers will supply food resources to the agriculture industry [*]Clothing Industry Farmers will supply cotton to the clothing industry [*]Firearm Manufacture Miners will supply metal resource to firearm industry. (In future updates other resources will be added for firearms like gunpowder) Taxes Sales TaxEvery item purchased will have a sales tax accept for food. Sales taxes will go to the Government bank. Income TaxThe Government will be able to tax all classes of citizens. This is so if your a lower class(player with little money) the Government will not take all of it. As of upper class(rich citizens) the government will take more of your money away because you can afford it. Upper Class Middle Class Lower Class Jobs Miner Resources: Metal, Oil Mine Locations: Mines will be visible on the map. Exact location TBD. Gathering Duration: Metal(8 Seconds); Oil(10 Seconds) Payment: Is paid by an industry at a rate of x dollars per 1 resource. Gathering Duration: Rubber(8 Seconds); Cotton(10 Seconds); Food(8 seconds) Payment: Is paid by an industry at a rate of x dollars per 1 resource. [*]Truck Driver Duty: Delivers products to businesses that place an order. Payment: Is paid a percentage of every delivery. Business Types A lot of business types have been discussed but here is a few that you may see in Eclipse: Arms Dealer Products From: Firearm Manufacturer Limitations: Military weapons will not be available to the public. [*]7/11 Market(& Gas Station) Products From: Agriculture Industry & Oil Company Limitations: Gas is heavily taxed by Government. [*]Clothing Store Products From: Clothing Industry Limitations: Government skins will be restricted. [*]Car Dealership Products From: Vehicle Manufacture Limitations: Government Vehicles and overly huge vehicles will be unavailable. [*]Aircraft Dealership Products From: Vehicle Manufacture Limitations: Government Vehicles will be restricted. [*]Boat Dealership Products From: Vehicle Manufacture Limitations: Government Vehicles will be restricted. [*]Fast Food Restaurant Products From: Agriculture Industry Limitations: If you over order stock your food will spoil if not sold in a # of days. Future Ideas: Constant eating of fast food will get obese and your run speed will be decreased.
