I think that this would destroy scamming RP. Although being scammed isn't great, it shouldn't be limited by a script. Also, scams are very prevalent IRL. I am sure we all have seen too good to be true prices or phishing emails. There are scripts already that you can use to avoid getting scammed or just don't risk it at all. Trading an expensive car for a house with a complete stranger is just asking to be scammed.

It somehow will but the nowhere is scamming a part of the fun in the server.  But as there are people who complain that scamming should have a limit based on something or should be disallowed this won't change anything but rather adds something into it.

I don't feel this needs to be added.
There are currently script ways to sell your vehicle or property to other players in the form of on-the-door buying and high/low end dealerships.

For trades such as car for a house, you can do RP contracts and should things go south from them scamming you, you can look for IC ways to get that money back e.g. reporting it to the police and have them investigate it. The scamming is the risk you take by putting trust in other people and trying to circumvent the tac associated with the script ways of selling vehicles/properties. People are not allowed to OOCly lie or mislead you with their ooc chat or /do's so providing all the RP of a contract is there and you cover yourself, there's no reason why you'd be unable to pursue it ICly. There are also other ways to not get scammed such as using a trusted middle-man.

That being said, as the judicial system grows, maybe we'll see more proper RP ways for contracts that can be officially trusted. But overall I don't see a need for this to be implemented, it can all be done with RP.

I don't think this will destroy any RP at all. You can still RP anything as part of the contract while negotiating and fulfilling the contract, or even calling a lawyer and all the process with it.

A middle-man is barely ever used IRL and people trade things rather much more flexible than they do in Eclipse RP (if the players aim to get it closer to IRL ofc). You don't need anyone to do it and I don't believe this will have any negative impact to the whole development of the server, but rather make it more realistic than it currently is.

  3. As I've recently read people on the forum that complain about scammings that are not so common IRL when you for example trade a car or a house, and it is so common here that the chances of you being scammed are the highest it can be. This fact supposedly does not portray the reality the best.

What can be done here to avoid scams is to script a government issued contract that can be obtained in city hall or by a lawyer.

The contract that one may want to trade something will appear on the left side of your screen (just above the map). The contract will include the person's full name first and there will be section as to what to include in the deal (houses, vehicles, money and other stuff which you may even select each of them as part of your belongings) to the trader who will also need to offer its stuffs. So, both parties offer their stuffs and after the proposals of the trade, both parties see again what has each party offered in the deal and finally both agree on them and scriptly the deal it's done.

The command for this will be "/buycontract" and "/offertrade" but in order to do this you have to either go to city hall or call a lawyer at the place you want the deal done. To obtain this contract one may need to pay also depending on what would the deal include (for example, the contract that would include a house will cost more) in order to not avoid taxes one would have paid normally. This will also improve and the role the lawyer has.
