Our current devs are more then capable of doing the work, but they also have their own lives and this is not a primary job.

There are a few issues with hiring others for development.

    1. It costs money, they don't really have to pay if they don't see the need.
    2. The individual must be trustworthy as they could gain full access to everything.
    3. Freelance devs often expect things and can expect it unexpectedly.
    4. And a few other 'people' / legal related risks.

Seeing as Eclipse does not run as a business, there are several factors that can be just prevented.

However, I can tell you this. There are several individuals that are assisting in creating, compiling and modifying content for the dev team and progress is moving along.

I appreciate your comments & I wish it was easier / they invested more. I'm biased obviously as a regular player.

Looking at what other devs do, I wish we'd have similar progress / big reworks of things.

ATM I think the updates, regardless of how competent our devs are, are way too infrequent.

The update log is genuinely depressing, It's an announcement of complacency imo.

While its true we get so many great suggestions but sadly it isnt that simple, im not qualified to really speak about the works that goes into making these things happen the server could really use some updates like this for sure and i hope we get some good things this year , as it would be fun to try something new.

I would really like to see overhaul on fishing with better prices and maybe even adding more jobs related to fishing

Adding Paintball venues so we can all have some downtime and chill with friends

Opening up fast food joints with scripted jobs, this would be good opportunity for people to hang out

I understand and I agree. I still disagree with how "difficult" it would be, considering the amount of credit purchases.

The requirements when it comes to adding this like this could be as follows.

    • Find the codes to generate the interior of choice.
    • Explore the interior and clean it up / add missing items / remove unneeded items.
    • Make sure areas are secure and there aren't mapping glitches.
    • Create a teleport and dedicate that dim to that interior.
    • Maybe tie that dim and interior to a property dim and give that ownership to a faction (so they can build in the club)
    • Move / create poker tables.
    • Script new gambling games.
    • Test everything.

It may sound easy, but every task has it's own level of challenges, and that's only things I can think of off the top of my head right now.

I see, thanks a lot for explaining. Now comes my other question, why don't the heads of the server just hire somebody capable of adding things like this? I'm sure they make more than enough off the credit system. It really does seem to me like we need more devs, there isn't much to do right now. For those that have been here long we're stuck in a consistent content loop. Not very rewarding and not much has changed in the past couple of years. I wish the devs did more / more devs were hired.

  3. The gas tank is completely unbalanced, a full fill is around 80$. And lasts for literally under 10 minutes of driving, making it completely useless for off-roading or driving in general.

Even with the VIP Perk of 50% less fuel usage, I think the nerf that happened a long time ago to gas tank sizes went a little too far on the Sanchez.

At the moment, anybody who buys it will most likely end up refunding it after driving.

It's my favorite off-road bike so I was dissapointed to see I can't use it for what It's intended to do.
