    P . O . L . S

The Parliament of Los Santos {P.O.L.S} is a parliamentary democracy that is aimed towards providing the public with equal representation, justice, and safety in the city of Los Santos. We are a political party that is unaffiliated with any other parties or organisations. We wish to begin helping this city move forward from within, using democratic strategies to ensure accurate representation of the population we've come to love.

    Representing POLS

The Parliament of Los Santos nominates Emiko Cross as Queen-in-Parliament, a woman known for her work ethic and strong will. The Parliament also nominates Logan Cross as Prime Minister. Logan Cross currently holds the position Commander Officer Detective in the Los Santos Police Department and has proven himself as a man of the state; a man willing to put his life on the line when it comes to keeping justice and safety in Los Santos.

    Quote

"What we lack in our city, is representation. We have almighty rules, but in a free land, we should be able to dictate how we want to be governed. Separating the government and having individuals that represent the city will not only allow for easier change, but less stressful communication. The movement of ideas will simplify and individuals of all backgrounds will have a voice...

We strive for equality. Los Santos is great, but we all know change is needed.. our parliament can make that happen.." - Logan Cross

    Our Mission

"Representation for all; now, and for future generations.."

Our mission is to accurately represent all individuals across Los Santos. We do not only represent law abiding citizens, but the entire population. We believe that all citizens deserve safety, equal representation, and justice. Having members of the cabinet and parliament that have backgrounds and experience in all aspects of the city make our parliamentary democracy unique and honest.

    Our Goals

    • Prison Reform: Our prison system lacks the basic needs for human life. How can we wish for change within criminals, if within the prison they are treated as animals? If we wish for our city to be safer, we need to reevaluate how we treat criminals and inmates. Establishing shorter sentences, healthy meal times, giving lessened sentences on good behavior, CPR classes, jobs within the prison system such as janitorial staff, ect., are just some of the many ideas we wish to introduce to prison life

    • Homelessness: Being a new citizen in Los Santos has its perks, however finding shelter is not one of them. Whether it be through the development of homeless shelters, or the creation of hotels, we wish to begin providing new citizens with secure homes

    • Public Areas: One of our goals is to create more life in the city. Creating areas where stress-free interaction can take place is one way we are going to do that. We will be looking to develop coffee shops, restaurants, and open bars in order to help liven civilian life. Standing around Central Bank, while it can be a fun way to get to know people, gets tiresome and bland. Adding public places where more interaction, is one way we will liven up Los Santos

    • Justice System: After the parliament is established, giving citizens access to trial before being sentenced will not only limit the amount of sentences given and help combat corruption within organizations. Have a fair Justice system will help our City immensely and give individuals more control in regards to legal affairs.

While we have many goals in mind that may change over time, these four goals are goals that will remain true throughout the entirety of the parliament's term

How can you support the Parliament of Los Santos?

If this city was meant to be civilian RP only, with no criminal activity at all- there should not have been gangs allowed period. Right now Prison RP is identical to being put in jail for admin offences- except you can kill people if you want.

A large amount of the population is made up of the gangs, and thus we should be represented more fairly when it comes to this stuff.

If you want to make prison more of an IN CHARACTER punishment instead of an OOC punishment, add schedules like a normal IRL prison:

    Example:

    • You have to be in your cell for a certain amount of time, then have to leave and eat breakfast, maybe clean the showers, then go outside and interact
    • Maybe if criminals are doing well in the prison by following their schedule or being nice, their prison time can decrease on good behavior.
    • Guards should be on patrol more often

Simply saying "you're here for 8 hours, go mine if you want to or dont- but you have to stay active every 15 minutes.." is ridiculous and not rewarding/fun OR REALISTIC.

If the infinite sentence cap was designed to make RP feel more realistic, then within the prison needs to be more realistic as well.
