I had a stroke reading the last part. Could you please elaborate?

The two robbed the store, I Call for Backup and get to the door, he runs up to me and says "I have a gun pointed at you, dont act this way this is not how his works", his friend ignores the weapon pointed at them,  runs out of the store and proceeds to run me over with stated car multiple times so that the guy holding the. 50 gets into his Trophy truck and drives off.

To clear up this suggestion from my perspective it is not to influence or promote more PVP by any means. These new jobs would enhance crim RP and give more opportunities in regards for more RP and a better source of making money which would RPly make sense for criminals. With the current state there is really no good job that RPly makes sense in regards to getting cash as a crim in which doesn't consume the full play time of being on the server in a single day reducing RP. It RPly wouldn't make sense for the leader of a hidden criminal faction  to be driving a bus around the city with everyone seeing him or driving a garbage truck picking up trash. The current state for criminals is again making drugs, robbing stores/banks, or chopping cars. I'll break these down beginning with making drugs.

Producing drugs takes up so much time that yeah in the long run you get decent money but the time invested is a lot in respect to how long you play. With gathering supplies, growing plants and collecting plants, filling water bottles, and then queuing up the drugs and monitoring watering until they're done it could take up the majority of player's time. If someone of importance in a gang wants to cook they have to devote most of if not all of their play time to that which leads to them missing RP opportunities such as meetings, events, etc. I'm not saying it's a bad way to make money but it shouldn't be one of the only ways in a crim RP sense.

My second point is robbing stores/banks. In respect to robbing stores I will say that it is easy but to clean out the store efficiently without too much people including the scouts the money made off of it is not good at all unless you were to rob 20 or more stores in a row which is basically impossible as PD/SD will catch on after the first few. The risk is also not worth it by any means with fines and is kind of a petty crime for high class standard of RP for a crim in which it wouldn't make sense for a high class organization to rob stores as it's way of income. Banks are a good way to make money and they align with a lot of ways in regards to crim RP but there are many factors that have to align perfectly to do it and even do it correctly with some of them bugging some times resulting in fails. There is also a limited amount with a very high cooldown meaning usually you can have the chance to rob each bank twice per day if all of the factors align (enough PD/SD on duty).

The third point is in regards to chopping cars. As chopping cars can be a decent way of income with what I believe is a very balanced risk factor, the problem is that the RP standard for chopping is more directed towards lower/middle class crims/organizations. As a member of high class crim organization I can say that we have high RP standards in regards to this and we usually never chop cars. This is again another way of making income that if you RP as high class it just doesn't make sense in regards to running around constantly pick locking cars and chopping them.

Overall I do not mean to go off on a tangent but I feel that especially with the salary checks getting decreased that there is more of a limit put on RPing while not on duty for a legal faction job and that there is more of requirement of spending time working in some type of way than RPing with other people without working in which I don't believe is wanted but is just how it is currently. A scripted crim job would promote a better job that would RPly make sense and give crims a new way of making money with taking on risk factors but also not take up so much time such as cooking. I'm not saying that the payout has to be insane by any means but somewhat efficient maybe a little bit better than the bus job as there is risk involving getting busted. I do think it would be cool to have a delivery job such as go postal where the truck could be the same but the worker would be delivering forged documents as mail or some type of package. I believe this will give more RP opportunities to both crims and law enforcement and I believe that there is enough law enforcement to handle a new job like this being added. As per above with the suggestion of opening a business like a loan company or even buying a gas station there is no way of really making the money realistically unless you want to slave away cooking 500+ drugs everyday for months along with all of the government restrictions on businesses. Most of the ideas that people come up with which trust me I have heard many amazing ideas becomes alt RP in which there is unfortunately a script limit on the amount of crim RP available. I appreciate everyone who reads this and I do not mean to start any type of argument I just wanted put my 2 cents out there 🙂.

No worries my man, giving an oppinion should not cause an argument.

I didnt interpretate your idea as improving NPC, but more as stale script-grinding. While it makes somewhat sense to have that as legal jobs to give people a way of earning money, it would make Crim RP less roleplay based, and as someone that played a Crim character for quite some time on this server, I still think that the effort and hustle is a necessary part of being a crim.

I do get your point, don't get me wrong, but having a Bus driver like job would not enhance RP, but would, in my oppinion, just lead to blunt grinding - Just like the legal jobs do, with the difference, that those are needed, especially for newcomers, in order to get somewhat of a starting. Like I said earlier, there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of ways to earn money as a crim. Just gotta be a bit creative.

Like I said: Fraud, Drugs, weapons, shady businesses, chopshops, robberies and a lot more.

  3. -1. There is ine big issue that I see with this.

    1. This would, again, lead to a blunt scriptly money grinding in crim RP without any actual Roleplay interaction. This could especially be abused during times in which basically little to no police is on duty, thus minimizing the risk of getting caught.

I get that it wouldn't make sense for you to drive around in a garbage truck, but there are multiple ways for you to earn your money illegally with actual Roleplay.

Your character is wealthy? Open up a business. A loan company for example with some high interests, or a restaurant with a secret backroom for weapon sales. There is a lot of ways which just require you to be smart about it and put in the effort - which is what crim RP should be. Realistically, criminal activities do come with a lot of effort in order to not be caught.

  4. The thing is that everything on the floor despawns after a restart. The car speakers are working with a tutorial being posted in the guides section. Regarding music in houses: Roleplay it out. We do have a music channel on the official ecrp discord with a working music bot. Rp turning on your soundbar, join the discord, mute yourself and turn your Playlist on. I am pretty sure staff is trying to get it working.

Issue/bug you are reporting: My 2g (Alta Pl. 2, nearby the bank) seems to be bugged since the new server update. Whenever I leave my house, the game will crash. Trying to restart it, will ultimately lead to further crashes, whenever the game is zooming in on the character, leading to an infinite crashloop, which can only be fixed if an Admin pulls me away while I am loading. Same goes for everyone else that tries to leave the house. Also, the same effect will occur if I, or anyone else, logs out nearby the entrance. Had this happen every time I tried to use my house since the update, which makes it completely unusable.

Expected behavior:  I should be able to use my house without ending up in an infinite crashloop.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Unfortunately I can't gather evidence cause the game ultimately crashes, however, if you want to experience it first hand, enter the house and leave it, though you should have an moderator/Admin ready on Discord to coordinate with them when you are hitting play, so that they can save you from the endless, everlasting crashvoid this bug will throw you into.

Issue/bug you are reporting: Tried to leave my house, which made my game crash. Game keeps crashing everytime I try to connect onto that character ever since. Tried deleting the dlcpacks folder, aswell as the whole resources and even re-installing Rage. Nothing helps. Game always crashes while zooming in from above.

Expected behavior:  I should be able to play my character

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Can't really gather evidence as the game instantly crashes.

  7. "Give them a week."

I, as a DOC Main myself, am completely against that specific point. More involvement? Sure, I would love to see more rp there, but at the end of the day, I play a game to be able to play my character in the way I want to  - Which prison can prevent; and while I do think that its good and necessary to keep it realistic and have some kind of IC punishment for crimes, forcing someone into a roleplay scenario, which they dont enjoy, for a week is just outrageos.

    TLDR:

Yes to more RP, big YIKES for higher sentences.

  8. +1 I can just agree with the people above me. A very nice idea to give interested people the chance to keep the roleplay scenario alive  - Although I see a flaw in it: Take for example my situation from yesterday. I was in prison, missbehaved and fleed from responding personnel. About a second before they could catch me to confront me with some consequences, i was released.

Now, one could say that, in that scenario, I could just deny the auto-release and continue the play, however, this would give the personnel, in theory, the opportunity (might have butchered that word, blame it on the language barrier) to extend my sentence for up to 60 minutes (which is the maximum solitary confinement time you can get).

So, depending on the Situation, it might be a bit hard to know how to conclude the scenario, due to the fact that a lot of releases happen during situations which would require certain consequences.

We would need some rules to clarify questions like that.

  9. First of all: We are just about to get a new server! Dont want to have to wait again!

Secondly: Would make it unplayable for most of the european players (which are a lot).

So nah. Please keep it in Europe .
