Yes, I agree, the setup is involved, but once its setup and you have the ingredients? You're effectively cut off from everyone, for hours, just spawning money. It's not good.

I am in favor of having materials spawn at the public labs, this isn't about introducing more risk or making crim harder, it's about promoting interactions. I believe 2019 public labs were some of the best vehicles for criminal interaction, and they should come back.

You make a good point, but those of us who have invested 3+ mil into labs deserve to have fair compensation. We're talking about months and months of time.

Some people say it's PD that is OP and needs to be nerfed, when in reality, there is nothing majorly wrong about it. Yes, a few things could be improved, but why not fixing the major L's that the criminals take on a daily basis? Like import prices, 50k for an AK that you'll lose after shooting 5 bullets is what causes the frustration, the jailtime that people have to spend out of their own gameplay time, which to me, sounds like IC consequences, however, I still don't understand why evading which happens 50 times a day has to be 60 minutes of jailtime, and if you get unlucky, you get felony public endangerment which is another hour. 2 hours just because you evaded for 5 minutes and hit a lamp post. Why evading can't be 15 minutes? The player would still face the IC consequences and go through the arresting RP, but I guess that's a different subject.

Also, some of you may say "This would limit DOC's RP" but do you think it's fair to tie hundreds of players to one faction? I mean, clearly there is an issue with DOC, but holding people inside DOC for hours because of that excuse doesn't sound plausible to me.

This is just a personal opinion, not trying to argue or flame a PDvsCrim convo, if you disagree, please ignore this comment and move on.

Are you proposing decreasing import prices? That might be a very viable fix to give crims encouragement to be crims again.

If you cant do the time dont do the crime.

Jail time is already capped now. Also 2 hours in doc is not that bad.

DOC ain’t got any RP since there are hardly any crims left. Also why are u so sassy lol? It’s a video game people dont want to sit in an empty prison for 2 hours. (Lets be honest, DOC has nothing going for it, you cant play poker (1 hand and ur broke), mining pick costs 3/5 of tickets, leaving none for food/water.

@IAmTurtle please try crim, before you say outlandish statements like you have peppered all over the forums.

  4. Will keep tabs... Great idea, however the post doesn't confer professionalism nor "precision" if you will~ This is the first post you bring out to the forum to introduce a massive initiative. I recommend you revise it. Add more details about ATLAS, thicken the plot a bit, and check out some of those grammatical errors.

    Good luck

well said, if we are going off realism, have you guys ever seen a police sports car in your area in real life before? More than likely the answer is no, although it's possible, I don't think any of us ever seen one, or multiple in our lifetimes. I am heavy on getting rid of the police shinobi, I've never been pulled over by a sports bike a day in my life, pretty sure the department near me doesn't have one as well. It's quite overpowering, if you ask me. Most units I've seen at a normal traffic stop was 3, I could see if you were wanted and such and PD has decided to go all out and get everything they got in their arsenal to arrest you, but that's about it. I believe there should be some limit for these traffic stops, there should be a fair number of units that can respond to a traffic stop or chase depending on the level of the situation to make it somewhat fairer.  30 units on a chase is so overkill tbh. Even if we may be going off realism, we must take into account what's fair and enjoyable for other parties. PD obviously has more players than criminals so, all of the high-speed vehicles and buffs are useless in my opinion, gonna be challenging to getaway as is, that is just my take though, big +1.

Only in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait. Not California. Nerf PD cars.

  6. Issue Being Reported: I donated EUR 100, i got the credits and used them. I then recieved a message from the bank who flagged the transaction as fraud. The payment is now pending, i would like to make sure the charge settles before i either send money or if it’s already sent. Not sure why it flagged it like that, the payment isn’t even large.

    Evidence: https://imgur.com/a/Ftum5xD

I’m reaching out in good faith, but I will want to see this charge settle before we act further.  As of this post it is *pending* despite what the msg says.

    Thank you

Issue Being Reported: I would like to raise the volume of player's IC. Whenever I'm in a car/bike, it's almost impossible to hear anyone talking in the car. What can be done about this? Is there a way to separate SFX from voice?

    * Is this the same for everyone

Date and Time of Issue (provide timezone): June 2022

    Your characters name: Tony Giancotti

    Other player(s) involved: N/A

Evidence and/or notes worth mentioning: N/A

The use the radar has in its scripted form goes way above any normal function it would have IRL this clip was posted to fashion and it shows the officer getting the plates of 5 different vehicles just by being in the vicinity which realistically makes 0 sense as they are getting plates from vehicles from the front when the plates are in the back. Also they are able to click the plate so it saves in the chat log for later use, so essentially they can "remember" 5 different license plates in seconds.

    https://streamable.com/962j00

The radar gun needs limitations on how its used

Not sure how someone can justify the scanning of that many plates in seconds as a realistic measure of any kind. The cop is speeding down the opposite road, into a bank robbery. He should be more concerned about killing himself, and not scan 4-5 plates before even stopping. Not sure if I agree with the suggested idea that if it were to be more realistic than it would actually hurt the objectives of this post, I dont see it that way. Human error, and processing is not binary, its very ambiguous, therefore a cop scanning a plate should be a passenger or fully stopped.

  9. Hello, I've only recently joined the community and have been having a great time immersing myself in Eclipse's LS. One of the things which I've found to be very restricting is the difficulty of obtaining a moderate income. That is an income that can allow me to actually focus on RPing with the community, than driving a truck up and down the highway for multiple hours. I do understand the prospect of roleplaying whilst working, however, I really enjoy fishing, and to be frank there's little to it whereas any fisherman would tell you that it can be very exciting. Another example is the repetitive jobs we must uptake, with a stagnant wage. That being said, I understand raising wages can permit many problems, and I don't expect that to be changed directly.

My humble suggestion is the following:

Implement a leveling system in skills that consist of world/nature interaction. (or all of them)

The idea is that as you continue to work in certain fields and accumulate experience, one's character should become more efficient in whatever that skill is, as one would in real life. This can be mirrored with the use of skills and perks.

    * This will bolster the number of players hunting in the woods, fishing together, and mining.

*Advancing in these skills can have some perks like increasing the rate of rare animal skin, or faster at mining.

I have spoken with others in the community and the opposing consensus, understandably is that we don't want everyone skilling in a corner of the map. I understand that, but this can be built upon with events. E.g: News Broadcast: "A new earth metal has been located in our very own LS. It's been spotted at location X" Same can apply for fishing/hunting events.

I suggest we minimize the locations of these skills so that the community can stay closer together. Additionally, and much more importantly, there is massive stratification in the world. Adding something like this can minimize the wealth gap in the community, just enough so that new players such as myself can afford a sandwich from the deli 😀 ($600 is half a paycheck from construction).

I would really love to hear other perspectives and thoughts! Thanks for reading!
