Date of interaction reported: 23/06/2021
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1624469541

Your characters name: Charlie Rellet
Other player(s) involved: ID 215, 204, 107, 21 99

Specific rule(s) broken

14. Deathmatch (DM)

  • Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper IC motive and interaction

9. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

How did the player break the rule(s)?
ID 131 decided for some reason it would be a good reason to come into DCC and shoot someone where there are camera everywhere and infront of  many civilians all of which know his name and cameras in the office, furthermore i would like to add that a police report was did not go through nor was time for demands to be followed as you can see i tried to cancel the call (Not that i was ever going to follow through) but non the less decided to shoot Charlie Rellet for it.

As seen in the POV above, player Charlie_Rellet was calling the police to report myself and ID 99 for “breaking into DCC”. For context, I am a former employee at the establishment. This is an IC matter, but I choose to explain for clarification.

As soon as Charlie_Rellet called the police, I had the right to kill him. I gave him an opportunity to put the phone down, but it remained up. Some might argue that I had to give him a chance to put the phone down, but in reality, the second he called the police I had every right to kill him. On an OOC matter, all I saw was Charlie_Rellet call police and type their services in chat, and continued to type even after I aimed the gun at the said party. I cannot see his point of view, so giving him a chance to put the gun down would be impossible given the adrenaline and lack of knowledge of his point of view.

Refer to rule explanation (Snitching to the police does grant valid DM Rights on you)

This report was made in regards to deathmatching. As per the Non-RP report, I had more than enough reason to shoot him, even if it seems unrealistic due to location. I had an illegal firearm on me that I did not plan on getting taken away. Charlie Rellet argues that “there are multiple cameras in a government building”, but I was wearing a mask, so suspicion and voice recognition is all they had to prove it was my presence at DCC.

This is unrelated, but I would like to inform you regardless of this report’s outcome, I want to call out ID 202 (Lilymay_Bryd). She screamed “10-10, 10-10” and mentioned her location, as I had her at gunpoint. This is a bonafide FearRP report. Just for reference, 10-10 is an emergency callout and help is needed at X location. As I do understand 10-10 might not be familiar to a criminal, it is familiar to me as I used to work at DCC. Lilymay knew of this and continued to use her radio to inform of the situation even as I had her at gunpoint. This is not for slander, but rather room for improvement for all parties.

Sorry for my input but I would like to notify the admins that both Kaito and Kopi have been arrested after an investigation from LSPD regarding it.
One of them was also removed from his faction and they lost multiple items of price over $100.000 (from AK's to narcotics) after a SWAT breach into their house because of that situation..  Their in character punishment of the reported situation was severe and it may be dificcult to reverse due to the multiple characters and work they put involved in the scenario (Detectives/SWAT/Medic High command/ Duty reports / weapon/narcotics logs / dishonorable discharges etc)

  • [Notified In-game] - Lilymay_Bryd [202] - Can you explain why you were speaking on the radio and giving callouts in this situation, and when the player asked to open up the door, you said no? Please provide your side of the story and any evidence that you may have.

Hello, Lilymay Bryd here:

Lily walked by accident into this situation. When she came in, Charlie was already down on the floor. Lily asked what was going on and called out a 10-10: is dcc’s “secret” code, when there's trouble. And she wanted to protect her employees, that's her first priority.

Kaito and Lily go way back. Kaito has worked at DCC for a while. The characters know each other pretty well.

Lily knows that Kaito does stupid things sometimes. When Lily saw Kaito and Kopi, she didn’t believe it at first. Lily is the kind of person that likes to talk about situations. That’s why she responded with “no” at first, because she wanted to know what was going on and of course was upset seeing one of her co-workers laying down on the floor. As soon she realized something major had happened, she opened the door for him.

In the past Lily has seen and heard a lot of stories of Kaito with guns, so for her it wasn't as shocking.

I do realize saying “no” wasn’t the best thing to do, but in the heat of the moment i said it. And in the future I will make sure I will immediately do what is asked from me.

Thanks for taking the time to read my side of the story.

PLAYER REPORT ACCEPTED

――――――――――――――――――――――――――

Thank you for your patience while this report has been under review.

After reviewing this report and the evidence attached, we have decided to accept this report and issue the following punishment(s):

Kaito_OwenID 131: DM - As shown in the evidence, you did not give ID 9 (Charlie_Rellet) enough time to comply. From the moment that you pointed a gun at the player and gave them the demands and to the moment you shot the player, it took ~3 seconds. When giving demands to a player, you have to make sure that the demands are valid (e.g. they can be heard from a reasonable distance) and that the player who is given the demands has ample time to comply.

Lilymay_BrydID 202: Spoken to about NRP - As shown in the evidence, you were held at gunpoint and you decided to make an emergency call on the radio, "10-10". You are supposed to prioritize the safety and life of your character, and in this case you did not. Next time you should have kept into consideration that there are armed people, that have already killed player(s) in the same situation and are very hostile.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

This report is now locked and archived.

Regards,

Doan & Harveyyy.
