Timothy_Jefferson [277] | Powergaming, scamming, non-rp , etc.

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 277
Date of interaction reported: 6/18/2021
Unix time stamp from HUD: Visible Video Below.

Your character name: Peter Jenson

What happened: So i saw a Weazel news ad and wanted the elegy being offered so i got into contact with the individual and ended up agreeing to a deal. I gave him cash and my car he gave me his car. As shown on the video we signed a contract and i turned my body cam on and then i proceeded to give him my car and cash and then he just held me at gunpoint and drove off. THis just doesnt seem fair to newer players to the server like myself. And really hope I can either get my stuff back or this player gets banned permanently.

Specific rule(s) broken:
scamming via weazel news ad, Powergaming, non-rp

Proof of the situation:

I didn’t actually put up the Weazel news ad to scam him. I was actually trying to sell but saw that a opportunity arose to do so. If scamming people is now not allowed I apologize as I was never told. I just thought that what I did was clean of rule breaks and was all an ic interaction. Also the recording seems to be edited and as per report standards you must give the fully unedited POV.

You did indeed put it on weazel news and i can upload everything non edited if I needed to. I can send the text messages of me messaging you replying to the weazel ad.

PLAYER REPORT DENIED

――――――――――――――――――――――――――

Thank you for your patience while this report has been under review.

After reviewing this report and the evidence attached, we have decided to deny this report for the following reason(s):

  • No rulebreak: Scamming is allowed and is not against the rules. The only reason that any part of a scam could be considered a rule break is due to Powergaming, which can be done while roleplaying (using /me's and /do's), but is not directly related to the scamming but more so the aspect of roleplaying. There was no misuse of the server commands in this situation. There are multiple ways that you can deal with this situation and all of them are IC (e.g. reaching out to law enforcement). When threatening you to get out of your vehicle, the reported player took you to a more secluded area.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.

This report is now locked and archived.

Regards,

Doan & Harveyyy.
