Teun_Musto [78] - (Combat Logging)

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 78
Date of interaction reported: 15/06/2021
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1623710901

Your character name: Jonathan Wellers
Other player(s) involved: N/A

Specific rule(s) broken:
Combat & Roleplay Logging
6.6.1. Players are not allowed to disconnect from a roleplay or combat situation that could have negative in-character
consequences. If your game crashes, you must reconnect to the server and inform the parties involved with you
before the crash and ask them if they want to continue roleplaying the scenario.

How did the player break the rule(s)?  (300 words maximum)
After a small shootout with the goblins, I ran up to ID 78 to move his body elsewhere so I could continue RP with him in a more secluded area. However, as I started to pick him up, he disconnected from the server. ID 78 posted in crash reports that he had c0'd. Myself and Vince_Draco posted in crash reports asking when he would return, however we never received a reply from him.

Teun_Musto | ID 227 @TvA - Please explain why, upon logging in you specifically texted one person for a trunk pick up and then continuously used /logout until they arrived to bring you to the hospital.

Joey_Borg | @karl_vsm - Please explain your involvement in picking up Teun_Musto from the earlier incident. You were involved in a situation and stated that you needed to do something and then were suddenly available to pick up your ally within seconds. I'd like to hear an explanation for this.

The above-mentioned players will receive 24 hours to provide their side of the story. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Best Regards,

Hi, I texted Joey for a trunk because upon loggin in I was still injured, I did not expect that I was required to stay logged off since a day had passed and a report was already made and I could just continue playing. I logged out, I think twice after that because I had issues with my games audio not working properly.

Cheers

@karl_vsm - Is this the entire truth of your statement? I ask considering you were with law enforcement PRIOR to receiving a text.

@TvA - Is this the entire truth of your statement? I ask considering you specifically never disconnected from the server and instead utilized /logout.

Following responses to the above questions this report will be concluded.

Thank you kindly for your patience as we reviewed this report. Following significant review of the provided evidence as well as statements from the reported player and finally consultation with members of Senior Staff, we have decided to conclude this report as follows:

Player Teun_Musto will receive a Not Here To Roleplay punishment for the reported incident.

To explain the rationale for the above punishment I would like to outline the evidence in points that were reviewed to come to the above mentioned decision:

1. Video Evidence
At the start of the video provided by the reporting player, it can be seen that he is running and stumbles across the reported player in an injured state. At the approximate timestamp of 0:06, the player executes the command /carrybody and just before the action timer completes and the video ends, there is a disconnect from the server by the injured player.

2. ECRP Discord Crash Reports Channel Message
7d9128ee0ff4b047f9ce762928185625.png
The above photo is the crash reports channel on the ECRP Discord where the reported player "Musto" states they crashed from the server and over the course of 3 messages, the player was tagged and requested for an update by an involved party.

3. Player Logs
Logs were investigated to check how long the reported player was disconnected from the server and what took place upon return. With review of the logs it was shown that the player was disconnected from the server for quite some time and upon reconnection made contact with a friend requesting a trunk at their general location. Following this the command /logout was utilized, to which the player returned after 3 minutes and then once more used /logout to then return as the friend arrived to take him to the hospital.

Per the reported player statement, no need was felt to further inform any player involved in regards to the power outage or subsequent ability to return. When asked about the disconnection, the use of /logout was never initially mentioned and the reported player stated it was due to audio issues, however, upon further investigation and consultation we fail to give the benefit of the doubt that this actually took place. Following the pickup by the friend, there was no subsequent attempts to log out to fix these supposed audio issues and there was also no OOC mention of said audio issues to anybody - the player simply continued to play as normal after being saved by a friend. Putting all the above together, what is seen in this situation was an attempt to get out of a roleplay situation that would have resulted in a loss (immediately disconnecting after being injured) and then the prolonging of death by use of /logout until being rescued to further avoid loss. There has not been a single explanation given that properly and rationally addresses the evidence at hand. It is expected that players focus on roleplaying as opposed to wining in situation at any cost and due to this, the above mentioned punishment is being given.
