Player using admin account to procure the arrest

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported:   33 Police Officer / Admin WhySoHelpFull
Date of interaction reported:   10/JUNE/2021
Unix time stamp from HUD:  Got booted offline when trying to get the proofs

Your characters name: Gaurdo_Lopez
Other player(s) involved: None

Specific rule(s) broken:

Metagaming (MG)

Metagaming is the act of relaying IC information through any method not considered IC that has the potential to change current or future roleplay scenarios or using that information.
Mixing IC and OOC information without any benefit is a minor MG offense. For example, a player uses IC chat to call someone by their player ID displayed above their head.
Players may not have any interaction or knowledge from their alternate characters.
10. Powergaming (PG)

Powergaming is playing unfairly through not allowing other players a chance to roleplay responses and their own actions, unrealistic actions, or non-factual statements in /do.
Forceful commands should be used after RP or the party is unresponsive for 30 seconds.
Government funded faction members must go off duty when not performing faction duties IC.
Players must capture time stamped evidence performing RP that will potentially influence future interactions and evidence is only valid for 48 hours, death, or until others RP invalidates it.
How did the player break the rule(s)?
i was pulled over with just myself in the car. during the crime my char was wearing a mask they officer that was killed/ hurt when fleeing the robbery had over a 10 minute flee time and came back from being inside my own head when i was pulled over by player ID #33 who also willingly switched between his player and admin to further force the (powergaming) in where i was going to be arrested no matter what pulling chat logs will prove player used admin account to intimidate the situation and give me myself as they player no way out which resulted in a 5 hour admin jail

Hi there and thank you for making a report / punishment appeal.

You were part of a group of 3, robbing multiple stores. We reviewed CCTV footage of the robbery and got descriptions of all the people involved. The PD officers that arrived on scene got 1 shot by your friend (who is now banned) but survived the situation. They were able to give out more details and bodycam footage of what the robbery suspects looked like.

* I'd like to ask you why you did not report your store robbing friend who was obviously cheating to an admin using the /report 4 function.

While patrolling the city, I spotted you driving your warrener from the parking lot and pulled you over. Upon looking at your person, I noticed you matched the description and went to detain you and had you wait for another officer to show up. (The officer that could actually positively ID you.) With that officers confirmation, there was enough evidence to arrest you.

You however, after being ID'd by the officer, decided to stop roleplaying and ignore roleplay completely. You also kept on responding to our /b chat over VOIP and were told to stop mixing IC & OOC multiple times. As we told you this situation is completely IC you decided to not respond to roleplay at all anymore.

Asking for your license many times after having done the RP, removing the pocket money you had on you. You did not want to enter those commands even after being told multiple times.

I went in admin mode to hopefully get you to finally co-operate and make you see that this entire situation was IC and you're now breaking multiple server rules. You didn't change your stance after having been given MANY MANY chances and I decided to admin jail you for your multiple rulebreaks and IC jail time.

You're taking an in-character situation to an OOC level. Just because you don't agree on an OOC level does not mean you can start breaking server rules and not participate/ignore roleplay. And no point did I try to intimidate you, I presented you with facts and told you what you should be doing as you seemed to not understand.

You were given all the chances in the world to co-operate and continue RP properly, you decided not too. So instead of blaming me and reporting this situation, I'd advise you to look at your own actions and re-evaluate your decisions.

If the Senior Admin+ handling this situation needs more information from my side, please let me know.

Kind regards,

Administrator YuSoHelpful

@kokoanin the process for a player report is that the reporting player makes a report and then the reported player has the opportunity to respond with their explanation of the situation which is exactly what @YuSoHelpful has done. He is not overstepping by responding to this report as he is just providing his side of the story as the reported party. Finally, the report and responses get reviewed by an appropriate (uninvolved) member of staff to conclude.

Ben’s messages were deleted because they are not relevant to this report. He needs to appeal his ban, not fill a report he is not involved in with insults to staff.

This report will be reviewed by senior staff for the full review and conclusion so please be patient.

Thank you kindly for your patience as we reviewed this report. Following significant review of evidence and provided statements as well as extended conversation regarding the report, we will be denying this report.

Upon deeper investigation into this situation, chat logs were reviewed between both the reporting and reported player. Within these logs it can be noted that an In Character situation was taking place involving a frisk and within this situation as the reported player was assisting with informing the reporting player about commands, there were IC comments made in response to the OOC ones. From here, this behavior continued and the reported player toggled into their Administrator mode and informed the player to remain in character. The frisk was attempted again along with viewing a license and roleplay commands were not being utilized and as such the reported player toggled once more into their Administrator mode to reeducate on rules and attempt to progress the situation further.

Overall, with these chat logs and the above description of the situation, there is no intention to roleplay seen on the end of the reporting player. The reported staff member did what is within their ability which is to inform and educate when rules are being actively broken in efforts to progress a situation forward. The entirety of the situation was in character to which the reporting player refused to move forward with. We see no evidence of the utilization of Administrator Duty to make an arrest happen.

Best Regards,

Head Administrator @Dqniel Administrator Aldarine
