How did the player break the rule(s)? (300 words maximum) Me and ID 132 were driving towards sealab and while passing the bridge we accidentally crash into each other, we hopped out and gave both of the goblins demands but ID 37 decided to flee, then pull out his .50 and start shooting at us ignoring the fact a shotgun and a .50 were pointed right at him for good ~4-5 seconds. I wanna mention that I did not inform him to save pov, as I finished him off thinking there were more goblins at sealab coming straight to us, I was focused on grabbing his things and leave. I believe his pov wouldn't change much on a scenario like this anyway, but nonetheless I apologize and his side of the story with or without pov will be appreciated. I wanna start off by saying a couple of things and explain myself. When we crashed, i expected to have a chat with the reporting party and try to solve the IC crash we had, but the reporting party wanted to rob me because of this so he jumped straight out of his car after the crash and pulled out his shotgun, at this point I got out the car and my camera was facing away from the reporting party, meaning that I didn't see him that close to me, so i ran a bit further away before pulling out my gun and turned around to start shooting. I would also want to point out that this is a pretty petty report as the reporting party didn't loose anything, they actually profited because of this incident. I have not got a POV of this incident as i was not informed in any way to save it! I do not believe that anyone except Isak role-played their injuries well, this is because he was the only one to not jump out the car directly. And yes, i do feel like i showed proper fear for my life as started to run away from his because I thought he was further away then he really was so i tried to get distance on them as he had a shotgun. About the camera facing away from them was because I wanted to make sure didnt hit a rock and get stuck in a position that was going to be hard to move from, example: backing into a rock and have no way of taking cover when they shoot. While I completely understand where this question is coming from, on a collision like that it's very difficult to really tell what type of injuries you would suffer especially in the heat of the moment in front of 2 individuals who are most likely armed, it felt more like hold them up or be held up. I would agree the RP maybe wasn't perfect, but if I'm being completely honest the vast majority of the players wouldn't just get out of the car to RP their injuries to be held up and lose heavies and body armor in the process. Does that mean that we aren't good at RP? I think it's more of a mix between RPing injuries, with the actual script of being injured, it's a grey area. Regardless, none of the cars spun out or flip, so even if the 2 criminals are slightly injured, as long as it's not a life-threatening situation, I'm positive they would try and deal with the other 2 criminals in front of them as it could also lead to their death, in which it did for the person who hesitated initially. I've had this situation discussed with some people, and honestly none of them knew how to properly RP the injuries on a situation like this, as they and I personally never seen anyone actually stop and roleplay the injuries in front of 2 other criminals in a situation like this, not only on this server but on any server I been part of and I been RPing since 2012, so any feedback on how to properly deal with situations like these would be very much appreciated. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Kon Posted June 7, 2021 Report Share Posted June 7, 2021 the RP i shown do to that of the collision was the brief pause after the crash, then seeing that they were goblins ( a faction i have been fighting for at least 10 month with, consistantly over the past 3 factions iv'e been in) i nor me or stav were scriptly injured badly by this crash and fight or flight kicked in, as i believe it would in any situation similar to this and my character responded to the threat sat infront of him before they dealt with him, exactly how they should have. yes i could have used voip and said 'ouch that fucking hurt' before jumping out, but i'm just a little confused at what point is an injury considered bad enough you need to RP it? Yes i believe we could have RP'd the injuries better but personally i dont believe the scripted damage i took required proper RP to take place, i was barely hurt, had body armor. i got out instantly upon noticing they were goblins and left before any backup could have arrived, thanks for taking this report.
