Martin_Bruise [305] - (DM)

Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: 305

Date of interaction reported: 29/05/2021

Unix time stamp from HUD: 1622255547

Your character name: Lexi Joyce

Other player(s) involved: Johnny Usoro

Specific rule(s) broken: 14. Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper IC motive and interaction. Players may not kill victims who have complied with a plausible demand in reasonable time unless involved in severe hostile activity against them or an ally within 3 hours.

How did the player break the rule(s)?  (300 words maximum) I was on the pathway of Braddocks with another Irish member when the 67 Neon stalled us. They hopped out and started robbing us, and I was told to follow ID 305. I was following him with my hands up and he killed me for making a remark, without telling me to stop talking or anything. I was complying with the demands I was given, making this clear DM.

After reviewing this report and the evidence attached to it, we have decided that this report cannot be concluded at this time. We would like to receive a response from the following player(s) to explain their side of the story:

  • [@Lexi223] - Lexi_Joyce (1) - Please explain why it can be heard in the provided evidence that mocking comments were made against the reported party while being held at gunpoint. Do you personally believe this action was appropriate?

  • [@Kurdo251] - Martin_Bruise (305) - Please explain your side of the story. Present any evidence you may have.

If the requested player(s) do not respond within 24 hours, this report will be concluded based on the evidence that has already been provided, to the best of our ability.

Hello, first I would like to say thankyou to Yputi and Skiperz for taking the time out of your day to review my report.

My character is known to be a loud mouth. I made a sarcastic mark as he was stating the obvious to me. I expected a level of escalation in return from them. I could have been more careful with my words but I still don't believe he had the right to just open fire injuring me than finishing me after a brief reload. I understand my actions should have consequences and I would not be reporting if he escalated by rping hitting me to make it clear he meant business but instead the player does not follow proper escalation or dm rules and just guns me down.

Thank you.

Hi and thanks for taking this report @Skiperz& @Yputi.

what happened was nearly over 1h before that scenario we had interaction with 5 of their gang members they engaged on us and we manged to kill one of them and rest of them ran away, after that, we kept checking labs for plants and collecting them. we were on our way to brodox then I crashed with the elegy we got out and gave demands they got out told her to follow me and or she will get shot as I was pretty clear with my intention that I'm going to harm you if you do anything I don't like or not listening, yet she decided to mock me and after being shot twice seen in my pov telling me "shut up" that makes it clear that you don't care about you characters life. I intended to injure her and leave her there but she made Martin more upset by telling him to "shut up" it was then I decided to gun her down totally and finish her.

you said: My character is known to be a loud mouth.

that does not giving you a pass to run your mouth under gun point by enemy while your life is on the line and knowing that they just murderd your one of your gang memmbers not to long ago. your actions in this case was pretty NRP and you showed Zero fear for your life.

After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, we've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following player(s):

  • Lexi_Joyce (1) - Warning for Fear RP

  • Martin_Bruise (305) - Punishment for Deathmatching

To explain the decision of the outcome of the report, I would like to turn your attention to the provided evidence from both the reporting and reported party.
In the footage of the reporting party it can be seen that a stalled vehicle is standing on a dirt road. A group existing out of five people gathers around this vehicle while the driver (Lexi_Joyce (1)) tries to start the engine of the vehicle. While the people that gathered around the vehicle start to step out and pull weapons out, there are some calls made on the radio by Lexi_Joyce (1). ID 162 stands in front of the vehicle with a firearm drawn, demanding both the driver and passenger to get out. Both occupants get out with their hands up. The group of five people split up where one goes up the hill and two focus on Lexi_Joyce (1) and ID 9. Martin_Bruise (305) focuses on Lexi_Joyce (1), telling her to follow him with a weapon drawn towards her and while walking back. Martin_Bruise (305) specifically states: "Follow me. Follow me Lexi. Before I kill you". Lexi_Joyce (1) responds with walking towards Martin_Bruise (305) while making certain noises and saying "Before I kill you" in a certain way that leaves the impression that Lexi_Joyce (1) is trying to mock Martin_Bruise (305) by rephrasing what Martin_Bruise (305) said, but in such way that it does not show proper fear considering the amount of people involved and the firearms drawn. At 0:24 in the evidence of the reporting party, Martin_Bruise (305) decided to open fire on Lexi_Joyce (1). This resulted in injuring and also killing Lexi_Joyce (1). In the footage of the reported party, Lexi_Joyce (1) can be heard saying "Shut up" at 00:08 while she was already shot three times and still being shot at. At 0:11 in the footage of the reported party, Lexi_Joyce (1) enters the injured state. The voice mode switches to whispering and it can be heard that Lexi_Joyce (1) says something again. Shortly after, Martin_Bruise (305) finishes her with the firearm again.

The reason given for the comments that appeared to be mocking towards the reported party is that the character is known to be a loud mouth. It is also mentioned that the comments were made on purpose to state the obvious. These comments were made while actively being held at gunpoint and while having five armed people around. This does not display proper fear for your characters life. A player is expected to display RP of adequate fear in such situations, especially in situations where multiple firearms are involved and one is actively aimed at close range.
The reason given for injuring and killing Lexi_Joyce (1) are the comments made by her that appeared to be mocking. The original intention was said to be to just injure her and leave her there, but because of the comments that followed after entering the injured state, this resulted in fully finishing her. The given motive is not enough for them to escalate it to a kill right on the spot. As much as we understand that you had leverage but you should have used it differently; there are many ways to retaliate against her and escalate in a way or another that would warrant, after a proper RP, her getting killed if she kept running her mouth again. Your demands were in the context as follows "Follow me before you die" and not a thing about running her mouth or talking; RP wise, it is not the best behavior from her side but still, it is arguable that they were just following your words to the exact extent and which is true.

If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.
