Player(s) being reported: ID 164

Date of interaction reported: 2020-06-26
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1593177458

Your characters name: Tab Yez
Other player(s) involved:

Specific rule(s) broken:

Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Baiting Government Services - Provoking a reaction from faction services without a realistic reason / or calling faction services to e.g. rob them.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for anything other than its intended purpose.

• Submerging any vehicle in water or unrealistically beaching any watercraft.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof that would give you a valid reason not to return. Our official discord server has a channel dedicated to game crash notifications.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

  • Players should not deprive other players of roleplay, e.g. early on the interaction asking them not to speak unless it makes sense in the roleplay situation.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

So we were raiding an apartment, and someone was actively cooking inside, when he noticed we were waiting outside he stopped cooking and decided to disconnect. We waited more then 15 minutes and he did not return, we check the #crash-reports on the discord and nothing was there. We made a report in game and @shimo accepted and told me to tag once I made the report.

Thank you for submitting this report. Please be patient as we review the evidence. We’d like to hear from the following players:

  • 164 - Mitch_Rico - Please provide any evidence or explanation for your side of this scenario. What lead to your disconnection from the server? Did you attempt to notify parties involved of your disconnection via the ECRP Crash Reports Discord Channel? Did you attempt to restart RP with parties involved upon your reconnection?

All reported parties will be notified here and in-game and will have 24 hours to provide a response. If no response is given, a conclusion will be made based on all available evidence provided in this report. Thank you.

Kind regards,

Hey there,

a friend of mine refered me to this post.
I am the one who owned the apartment where the incident happened.

My defence:

I placed the amounts of cooks for the exact amount of time I had to play the game.

When I was on my last cycle I splashed my tables with water and went afk, I have a 2 year old daughter running around and I was during that time preparing and dressing her and myself to leave the house and get groceries.

On my return of the grocerystore after about 40-60min I sat myself in front of my pc to resume the game and I was still in the game (but of course disconnected due to afk) I forgot to logoff before I left the house and left straight away, on my return home I wanted to pick up the remaining cracks I was making. Where I noticed the OOC messages to react to the RP.

I was completely unaware of the incident as I was AFK.

Also my apologies to fail to the RP as I was AFK and occupied in my personal life as I forgot to logoff (i forgot due to my kid being needy) So I did not STOP cooking, it was my last badge and I was afk, as I know that that amount of time wouldn't blow up my lab) and I did not disconnect as I was just disconnected due to AFK.

I did see on the screenshot that 'they heard us' first of all I was alone in there and hearing me would have been completely impossible as my character obviously didn't move.
I do know that robberies are not to be done in clear light of day, I don't know what it is with home invasions? But wasn't it so that these robberies are to be done at night?

Also, I have never been reported or have 'failed' at any interaction before, so I was unaware I had to report it somewhere.
I asked my friends if I had to go to the LSPD to report myself ingame for these type of things because I thought it was the Police who was at the door.
And they said 'they will return since you are under suspicion now'. So no, I did not report it anywhere. But shortly after looking on the forums we found this post and noticed it was indeed about our apartment.

I will for future references for sure report it in case I notice a lack from my side.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

When you splashed your tables you would've noticed the chat, we were rping with /do's and /me's which you completely ignored, you stopped cooking and disconnected. We asked in the #crash-report if anyone was returning but no respond. Seems like some people would get a punishment instead of loosing their stuff.

Hey there,

I understand your reply.

Obviously my tables were splashed and THEN I went AFK. (fyi for the 9 cracks that were cooked I was happy to hand them over for the sake of RP).

You were NOT in the building or at my door yet at the time I splashed my tables, else I would have replied for sure a 100%

I did however only saw the messages on my return as the screen looks like you're online but you are actually disconnected.
So it was only THEN I noticed your messages.

Please read carefully.

Thank you for your extended patience while this report was under review.

Based on the evidence provided, we have decided to deny this report.

Firstly, ID 164 was inside a LOCKED apartment, which makes it completely fair for him to not need to comply to the demands. He was not in a position where his life was in danger and would thus make your demands invalid.

Secondly, your RP to attempt to break the door open is not valid. We scriptly support bolt cutters on furniture doors, however that only applies to the furniture doors. You cannot decide to invent your own manner of breaking into an apartment, if we allowed this, everyone would be doing this RP. The reported party SHOULD have responded to this RP, however the RP is borderline Powergaming and is not something we have script support for.

26/Jun/20 03:12 PM Tab_Yez /do would it open/break ?
26/Jun/20 03:12 PM Tab_Yez /me attempts to break/open the door, using the guns lock towards the handdoor

Lastly, the reported party was in a position where he would not really be expecting to need to RP or actively be paying attention. He was occupied with a situation IRL and I feel he deserves the benefit of the doubt due to his clean record.

With all that being said, the reported player offered to hand over the items you could've gained from the raid if it was possible. Someone who combat logs usually does it with the intention to escape a situation or to keep items, in this case, the reported player is willing to hand those items over. It is your choice whether you accept this offer and handle it among yourselves or not.

This report is now denied, with this decision being final.

Kind regards,

Dalvichan & Shimo

- There is no evidence to suggest the player saw the messages prior to being afk disconnected.
- Reported parties timeline of afk kick / logging back in does match up.
- Smoke is not a reason to raid an apartment, and perhaps is actually a reason not to raid a house which is potentially on fire ICly.
- Player was never put under fearRP being inside a locked apartment and players do not have the ability to RP knocking down other players doors. Someone having an admin assist with such RP in the past does not mean it is open to all players without admins present and without a /report being made and answered to.

- If any furniture was moved post the first failed attempt, there was no reason for him not to be able to move it as you were not present at the time of it being moved.
- Due to the above facts we have decided to uphold the original decision to deny this report.
