Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper roleplay reason and interaction. Examples of valid reasons to attack another player: • If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property. • If they report you to the police for a serious crime. • If they are not in compliance with plausible demands, attempt to escape, or call backup. A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands. A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands. If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s). Vehicles cannot be used to attack a player on foot more than once, including a failed attempt. Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of: Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.) Someone is attempting to take your life. Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen. You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason. 8. Non-Roleplay (NRP) Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay. Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay: • Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason. • Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching). • Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles. • Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water. • Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase. Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof. In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through. Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do. In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave. Players should not deprive other players of roleplay, e.g. early on the interaction asking them not to speak unless it makes sense in the roleplay situation. How did the player break the rule(s)? I know reports are supposed to be serious rulebreaks or some sort of loss to you. This happens to me almost EVERYTIME I'm in prison, people come and just start punching you for no reason, with no demands or no roleplay reason behind it. He came in, started punching me, I let him know in OOC that's DM, he hit me again, and said I hit him earlier in the morning, which wouldn't even be valid as DM rights only last 3 hours, plus, It never even happened. Then he stated in OOC, my friend punched him, again, a lie. I was sitting in my cell for 20 minutes, the whole time I was in prison. People just assume rules don't apply in prison and do whatever they want, this is a example. Prior to concluding this report, I would like to hear statements from the players as specified below. Raj_Paramasamy | ID 32 @BOT_Cocaine - Please explain your point of view in regards to the reported situation. Along with this I want to specifically know why you attacked the reporting player with absolutely no roleplay engagement. Per the screenshot submitted, you state that the reporting party tried to fight you 2 days prior. Are you aware that DM rights, per the ECRP Server Rules, only last 3 hours? As always, any video evidence or screenshots from your perspective are much appreciated. The above mentioned players will be notified in game as appropriate and will receive 24 hours to provide their side of the story. We look forward to hearing back from you! BOT_Cocaine Posted March 5, 2020 Report Share Posted March 5, 2020 (edited) Earlier that day, i came across an inconvienece with 2 players and they fought and injured me. When i saw the player with the id of 37 i thought he might have been on of the players as he matched the descripion of being light skinned and bald as were the people that fought me the day before. Also when i came into the prison cell i punched him becasue i thought it was him as i was scoping the cell prior to hitting him. When i ran in and hit him i said that he was the same guy that fought me before as you can see in the video and i explained myself by claiming he was the one who jumped me. On the other hand the player claims that he said OOCly that he said DM and Non Rp but he didnt and you can see as he did not say anything in the video, but rather after i punched him and after a while he said DM and non-rp and at that point it made no sense and i got confused. While he just said "no i didnt" in game and to me that made him sound very guilty and like he was trying to hide the fact that it was him. Then later after a couple of seconds he said "Ive been sitting here" to me it seemed suspicious and sounded like an excuse, so in my defence i though he was one of the players who jumped me and while he claimes that he OOCly said DM and nonrp he clearly didnt as you can see in the video. I then started to punch him again as he seemed very gulilty as he took his time to make an excuse "I 've been sitting here" but later he explained that he was only on for 20 mins OOCly and that is when i realized i got the wrong guy becasue it happened like around 2 hours ago so that meant i got the wrong guy. But to me there was no non-rp nor any DM as i had a reason, but i got the wrong individual. As he was taking long to react and that he did not talk about DM or non-rp until a while after i punched him like i said before in my previous reply. After reviewing this report and evidence attached to it, I've decided to accept this report and issue the punishments to the following players: Raj_Paramasamy - Deathmatching warning - This is not an actual punishment, just a warning. It is not acceptable at all to run around in the prison punching players just because you are in prison. All server rules apply in jail just as much as they do anywhere else on the map. If you have a valid RP reason to attack, you need to be able to prove it. If you have received a punishment that you disagree with, feel free to file a punishment appeal following the punishment appeal guidelines and format. If the reporting party suffered a loss greater than $25,000 in value, feel free to file a refund request following the refund request guidelines and format.
