8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

• Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

• Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

• Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

• In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through. 

• Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

• In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

• Players should not deprive other players of roleplay, e.g. early on the interaction asking them not to speak unless it makes sense in the roleplay situation.

• 10. Powergaming (PG)

• Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

• Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming.

• All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay.

• Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more. 

• A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC.

• Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties.

• If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP. 

  • OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time).

  • RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

I was arguing with the police about ban on bayview since my friend got banned from that place for doing crime and i did nothing. I wanted my car to be modified and ID 59 promised to do it for me when all the others refused. He then sent me an invoice and i signed it but the labor price turned out to be 30k for changing the colour of my rims(1st pic).  I then proceed to cancel the offer and he calls me out for lying in /do when its clear nonrp and powergaming that you rp to send me and invoice in /do, make me sign it and then put labour price in 30k. His using his ability to change the labor price after i have accepted the invoice( which i could not see before the offer) and then proceeds to call me out for lying in /do(pic 2). He then proceeds to go on and call me a kid in ooc after i told him im gonna report him(pic 3). And the argue that we had with cops and mechanic had nothing to do with him

See you on forums kid is just a meme to be honest and since when is being a kid an insult. This is kind of an insult to all childern playing on the server. And would you sign an invoice irl without looking at the price first i did at no point force him to /do yes. If he had waited a few seconds he would have seen te price and not have automaticly done /do yes. And btw i was involved in the incident with the cops as i was in town when bayview got shot up.

 

Also i want the unedited video posted please where you can clearly hear me telling him I would make a special price just for him

I mean its an obvious nonrp. Youre basically baiting him into paying 30k and even if that was the legit offer, its nonrp to demand such prices from someone. When is the last time you went to a mechanic and he charges you 1/3 value of the car for the tyres? Im sure youre too young to own a car but I can tell you its not that expensive.

Is this an ooc insult calling me a young? (I own a 2020 renault clio btw)

 

At most it would be a scam making it an ic issue to be taken up with pd if he accepted it

see you on forums kid is not necessary when im telling you that you are getting reported. I took it like you were calling me a crybaby since you felt really irritated about me even calling you out. You are reaching way too far on these ooc insults by me calling out all kids on gtav (+18 game btw). Why are you sending me an invoice first and then a  offer of 30k after that.  Also what kinda roleplay is it to create a 30k offer for wheel color change? i dont think 500x1.15 equals over 30k? or am i wrong? You tried to charge almost 300x the price of labour and that is considered as scam on streets (IC) and nonrp while working

I assume im aware of the rulebook atm better than you are?

Also i have no clue whoe you are IC i havent been part of any crime inside bayview that would have been seen by anyone else than me. Also the shooting that you mentioned i had nothing to do with. You had nothing to do with me arguing with the other employee and police. I have no restraining order to bayview or any reason to have one. I just wanted to leave bayview quick because the other mechanic was really mad at my friend and included me to it aswell so when you offered to do my wheels i wanted to do it as quick as possible. And if i remember correctly i usually get mechoffer before you do /do would he sign or am i wrong? 

 

Like i said earlier the unedited video is full of euroleague broadcasting from alba berlin-barca that was played yesterday. I usually dont record so i have no clue what is wrong with it i only recorded so i could have evidence to PD if you try to tow my car away after you agreed to do the wheels i never agreed to a special price.

Thank you for the replies, I am going to conclude this now:

I do not see any punishable OOC insults here, from the evidence provided I do not believe there to be any serious insults and certainly none that warrant a punishment. As for the labour price I understand the frustration here but this isn't a server rule breach. I recommend this be taken up with management of Bayview either IC or OOC depending on their internal rules however I cannot act on this from a server rules stance.
