Jimmy Irish
Player(s) being reported: ID 67 (Not sure who actually shot me) Date of interaction reported: 2020/02/23 Unix time stamp from HUD: 20 | 1582493081 Your characters name: Jimmy Irish Other player(s) involved: Not sure Specific rule(s) broken: 14. Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper roleplay reason and interaction. Examples of valid reasons to attack another player: • If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property. • If they report you to the police for a serious crime. • If they are not in compliance with plausible demands, attempt to escape, or call backup. A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands. A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands. If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s). Vehicles cannot be used to attack a player on foot more than once, including a failed attempt. Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of: Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.) Someone is attempting to take your life. Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen. You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason. How did the player break the rule(s)? ID 67 drove up to me approximately 4 minutes before this happened and told me to pull over. I drove away and refuelled at NCZ, being chased now by a large group of zetas and mexicans. I finish refueling and drive off to continue the chase only to get shot almost immediately, crashing inevitably and getting robbed. I only have 1 minute of playback as I just used the windows playback, but the player being reported told me he has his own footage that goes back as far as the demands so he can use that in his defense. To my understanding these demands are not valid reason for what occurred but this is my first player report so bear with me. Aldarine
Apologies for the delay and thank you for your patience as I reviewed the report. Prior to concluding this report, I would like to hear statements from the players as specified below. Reece_Curry | ID 67 @reeceobz - Please provide your point of view in regards to the reported situation. Along with this, please be sure to explain why you opened fire on the reporting party as well as if you believe it is appropriate to take this action just inches outside the bounds of an NCZ. As always, should you have any recording or screenshots from your perspective, it would be much appreciated. The above mentioned players will be notified in game as appropriate and will receive 24 hours to provide their side of the story. We look forward to hearing back from you! reeceobz
Hello, Id first like to start with the beginning of the situation. Me and around 12 other zetas was at parking lot looking for Rooks & Vory. We chased a Vory car then let it go because we realised he'd have nothing on him. We pulled back round to parking lot and I found a matte black Rebla I believed to be a rook I pulled up along side him and made my intentions very clear by stating, "Get out of your car and put your hands up". He also tried to interact with me by talking to me which I'm unsure why I didn't hear what he said. The death matching rules of 2020 States "• If they are not in compliance with plausible demands, attempt to escape, or call backup." In this case my demands were plausible and were acknowledged by the reporting party to the point where he speeds off making erratic turns and driving decisions to try and escape our view in which he failed. I gave these demands on my own because before I interacted with the reporting party I radioed in to my fellow zetas that were just behind me armed heavily. I chased The reporting party to the bank were his video starts and I get Rhea_Moraine to drive my vehicle as I had valid reason under the death matching rules to shoot him. 3 hours ago, Aldarine said: as well as if you believe it is appropriate to take this action just inches outside the bounds of an NCZ. As always, should you have any recording or screenshots from your perspective, it would be much appreciated. I believe the distance and timing I waited to open fire upon the vehicle was very reasonable considering that rp'ly we would of been out of sight of any cameras covering the bank. We was both a fair distance from the scripted NCZ which I made sure to wait until we was out of the area of the bank. https://gyazo.com/b977584d00e9e739296ac58708d54855 In the video provided by the reporting party it is seen that the bullets are shot at head level towards the drivers window which wasn't the case at all on my screen. I was shooting to disable the vehicle so we didn't have to chase it through the entirety of the city wasting time and resources on just one Rook. My intention was never to kill him which is why I didn't aim to do this on my screen, Instead I went for the drivers rear side tyre which popped on my last shot shown in the video. After the wheel popped the driver crashed into a wall causing him to stall. We took his only belongings being a gps, radio and his car without anymore shots being fired because again, I did not want to kill the player, Just bring the chase to a halt as fast as I could as I had dm rights to do so. Id also like to quote the Fear Rp rule because the actions of which jimmy had taken during this situation was very reckless and he knew what was going to happen even if shots were not fired. 13. Fear Roleplay (FRP) Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life. In this situation Jimmy pulls up to bank fearing for his life and seeking protection in the ncz of Bank which was fine. He then states "I need gas if we doing this" and runs over to the store across from the bank and buys a Jerry can, Fills his car up and shouts "Do you guys get tired of chasing one rebla through the city with 15 cars or do you love it." Jimmy knew he was being chased and was heavily outnumbered but still decided to taunt us by beeping his horn and leaving the ncz were he was safe? He wanted us to chase him which was not valuing his characters safety and life at all. If he did value it in this situation he would of stayed inside of the ncz were he was safe. At no point did he call for help from his fellow gang members on his radio or on his phone. The clip of demands and chasing to bank - https://streamable.com/2n2ht I don't have evidence of anytime after my recording due to only being informed of the report going up 20 minutes after the situation. Happy to answer any more questions if needed.
Jimmy Irish
Lol @ the baseless FearRP retaliation attempt. You were alone in the vehicle with no weapon pointed at me, the demands were invalid. I won't be commenting further. reeceobz
Where in the 2020 rule book does it say a gun needs to be pointed for the demands to be valid? "• If they are not in compliance with plausible demands, attempt to escape, or call backup."
Aldarine
First, thank you kindly for your patience as I reviewed this report and apologies for the delay in conclusion. After reviewing all of the statements and evidence, this report will be concluded as follows: Player Reece_Curry will receive a Deathmatching punishment for the reported incident. To explain the rationale for the given punishment, I would like to go through the video evidence submitted by the reported party. As can be seen at timestamp 0:15, the reported party pulls up to the reporting party and states "out the car, put your hands up." These demands were spoken quietly, on the street, from the driver side of a vehicle to another vehicle with their windows up. While it is correct that the Fear RP clause in the Deathmatching punishment was removed, all given demands must still be plausible. In this case, these demands are not plausible/acceptable considering the stated circumstances and the reporting party driving away does not counter that. Simply driving away from somebody pulling up next to you does not give rights to later open fire. It is every player's responsibility to ensure that demands are realistic and plausible if not using Fear RP to specifically enforce demands. After consultation with multiple staff members, it was decided that the demands in this given situation are not acceptable and thus the engagement upon the reporting party later on at the bank is not appropriate and so this punishment is being enforced. I would also like to take a moment to address the issue of the NCZ and the engagement that began across the street. As stated by the reported party, yes, you were technically out of the scripted bounds of the NCZ, however, I would like to direct you to the rule clarification posted on the 17th of December and a specific piece in relation to immersion which states, "For example, is it really realistic to be wielding Assault Rifles and causing havoc on the street opposite of a NCZ because the scripted NCZ ends there? Not really." The reported party can be seen opening fire once diagonally across the street from the scripted NCZ. This does not contribute to immersion within the server and it is unrealistic to simply open fire because you are a few feet from camera bounds. While I will not be enforcing an additional punishment due to the already given one listed above, you are reminded that this behavior is not acceptable and all players are to contribute to immersion even if it means continuing a chase for a prolonged period of time until you are well outside the bounds of a scripted NCZ. Player Jimmy_Irish will receive a warning for non-roleplay/immersive behavior conducted during the reported incident. All players are expected to perform realistic actions and display realistic behaviors at all times. As seen in the video submitted by the reporting party, following a chase the reporting player proceeded to the NCZ, which was acceptable due to no criminal acts being occurred prior. What is not acceptable for immersion and quality roleplay is what occurs afterwards. The reporting party goes into a store to obtain a jerry can, refuels their vehicle, and openly taunts his pursuers with commentary such as "I need gas if we doin this" "Do you guys get tired of chasing one rebla through the city with 15 cards or do you love it" and "bet." With such commentary is it fairly evident that the reporting party holds no regard for his safety especially when severely outnumbered. This type of taunting is not acceptable to an immersive environment and due to this a warning will be given. Please be advised that this is a warning and not a punishment, however, should similar actions be performed in the future, you will be subject to harsher reprimands. Report accepted.
