Recommended Posts

Player(s) being reported: ID 50
Date of interaction reported: 22.02.2020
Unix time stamp from HUD: 1582394731

Your characters name: Vicky_Timlin

Other player(s) involved: Lucas_Laurie ID 43 plus some more in the chase

Specific rule(s) broken:

11. No Crime Zones (NCZ)

  • A no crime zone is an area where players may not commit any actions considered crimes.

  • Players must not disobey orders of law enforcement officers but are allowed to flee.

  • The /NCZ command and HUD notification are indicators of being in a protected area although it is up to administrator discretion if your actions are in violation of NCZ rules.

  • If a player uses the NCZ for protection the attacker must wait for that player to leave the area.

  • Players may not go to a NCZ after engaging in criminal activity resulting in an ongoing chase.

  • NO CRIME ZONES:

• “Tequil La La” club, “Yellow Jack Inn” bar, and the block around them.

• All government offices, law enforcement offices, hospitals, banks, and the blocks around them.

• Los Santos Airport, Bus Depot, Department of Motor Vehicles, and the block around them

How did the player break the rule(s)?

We were robbing a person at a druglab and a man turned up, i do not know if it was his friend but they never interacted so it doesnt seemed like it, he chose to leave but stop at a distance and withdraw his gun, when he reached for his gun i pointed my gun at him and he shot without any interaction, i would not say this was a good roleplay situation and he didnt have a reason to reach for his gun or shoot at us. We decided to chase him and he goes down to PD and start to talk to the cops after being at the druglab and shooting at me for no reason.

Evidence of rule breach:

Evidence will be sent to the mod/admin taking the report as it has staff chat in it.

Thank you for your patience as I reviewed the report. Prior to concluding this report, I would like to hear statements from the players as specified below.

Tom_Fredrico | ID 50 @PluralSpy - Please provide your point of view in regards to the reported situation. As always, should you have any recording or screenshots from your perspective, it would be much appreciated.

@Pjuski - Do you or any involved parties have footage of a chase that begun following the shots fired at the drug lab?

The above mentioned players will be notified in game as appropriate and will receive 24 hours to provide their side of the story. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Best Regards,

Aldarine

I would like to ask what criminal activity I was committing? I was off-duty on my PD character driving around and I see you robbing a guy. I called 911 and drove round only to see you aiming a gun at me, to which I shot at you and ran off to get Police.

I have sent you another recording Aldarine.

If you were an off duty officer i wonder what you are going into druglabs for in the first place and i didnt point at you until you reached for your gun, and why would you try and reach for you gun and shoot first 1vs2 without backup. you didnt even interact with us which was a bit poor rp in my eyes. after shooting at someone you cant run to a no crime zone off duty or not

I saw 2 of you robbing the guy at gunpoint, at which I backed off and called 911. I'm not going to try and fight you unless you aimed at me first - which you did and I had no other choice and then ran back to PD.

what you should have done in that situation is call the cops and left the scene or watch from a distance, not go out of the car and reach for your gun. and since you shot you cant go to a no crime zone. i dunno but i dont think it should matter if your off duty cop or a criminal as it is server rules and it is same rules for everyone. but yeah ive said what i need to say and is gonna leave it to Alderine now 🙂

I mean I didn't commit any crime and did call the cops and tried to leave - you're the one who's making a fuss out it but OK

Please stop the back and forth as this is not constructive to concluding the report. Should the back and forth continue, this thread will be locked pending conclusion.

@Pjuski - Please forward any and all recording tracking the reported player from one location to the next.

@PluralSpy - Do you have any recording from your perspective at all?

@PluralSpy - Please explain to me your full rationale for going to LSPD following discharging your weapon against another person. Did you, at any moment in time, report that you engaged with the reporting party at the drug lab, even in self defense?

I look forward to your response.

As explained above, I initally called 911 when I saw the robbery, I drove round the corner and saw I was being aimed at by one of the group, to which I fired back at them in lawful self defence. I then tried to drive off, and saw I was being followed by several members of the group - knowing what was going to happen I decided to drive to LSPD to get help. I didn't have time to stop and call 911 again as I was being chased immediately and the script prevented me from calling 911 again so soon.

First, my sincere apologies for the delay in concluding this report. Thank you once again for this player report and for your patience during my review. After reviewing all of the statements and evidence, this report will be concluded as follows:

Player Tom_Fredrico will receive no punishment for the reported incident.

To explain the rationale for the lack of punishment on this player report, I will walk you through the privately submitted video and the critical events that occurred. For this scene, the reported party was in close proximity to the drug lab where the reporting party and an ally were robbing another individual at gunpoint. It can be seen from the video that the reported player had enough line of site to witness this crime occurring. Logs also confirm that the reported party did make a 911 call to the police to report this robbery. When the reporting party saw him on scene, she withdrew her weapon and aimed at him. At this time, both parties were aiming firearms at one another and weapon discharge began. Following this, the reported player fled the scene and went to LSPD where he was attempting to again report the robbery. Due to the police phone call prior to engagement, the timing of the shots, the rational fear and reaction from being aimed at, and the immediate flee from the scene without prolonged gunfire, I am giving the reported party the benefit of the doubt that his shot was fired in self defense as an active weapon was aimed and fired at him. I do not believe the reported party was acting in malice or criminal intent when the weapon was discharged and as such I have come to my conclusion that no criminal activity was done on the reported party's end. Had the reported party continued active engagement and then fled to LSPD, this report would have potentially been concluded differently. That being said, the reported party can take this situation as a learning lesson to reconsider opening fire as there are alternate routes such as immediately leaving the scene to report said crime.

Report denied.

Best Regards,
Aldarine
