Player(s) being reported: ID 21
Date of interaction reported: 2-21-2020 (D-M-Y)
Unix time stamp from HUD: 92 | 1582264075

Your characters name: Matthew_Layton

Other player(s) involved: ID 101
Specific rule(s) broken:

8. Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  • Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  • Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay:

• Cop Baiting - Provoking a reaction from emergency services without a realistic reason.

• Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching).

• Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles.

• Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for crimes or submerging any vehicle in water.

• Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase.

  • Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof.

  • In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through.

  • Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do.

  • In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave.

  • Players should not deprive other players of roleplay, e.g. early on the interaction asking them not to speak unless it makes sense in the roleplay situation.

13. Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  • Fear roleplay is the concept of roleplaying fear for your character’s safety and life.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is considered to be in direct danger:

When you are on foot or bike and a weapon is aimed at you at close range.

• When you’re in a vehicle that is stalled or turned off and a weapon is aimed at you close range.

• When the attacker lowers their weapon to type or roleplay, your life remains in direct danger.

• Driving a vehicle into an active shootout more than once without the intent of protecting a friend, fleeing with it, or using it as cover.

  • Examples (but not limited to), where your character’s life is NOT considered to be in direct danger:

• When you are in a car which engine is not stalled.

• When you have a firearm drawn and are facing the other person before they attacked.

• When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

  • As a victim, whose life is in direct danger:

You must display reasonable value for your life and comply with the demands of your attacker.

• You cannot call 911 or call your friends or allies to aid you.

How did the player break the rule(s)?

ID 21 Rolled up to one of the scenes that I was called too as ID 101 crashed his car. ID 21 was apparently "joking" about stealing my ambulance, and after that he wanted to get painkillers, which i then denied because he said he was going to steal my ambulance. He then left the scene, when a couple seconds later he came back and asked for painkillers once more. I told him no again and he decided to get on top of my ambulance and kick it twice. After denying him once more i got in my ambulance, ready to transport my patient when he started kicking my ambulance once more after i denied him for painkillers again. He pulled me out of my ambulance, in which i pulled my duty weapon and started shouting demands and aiming it at him and he got on his bike and ran away.

Nothing i did broke the rules. Non-rp doesnt apply here because i was roleplaying that i severely needed painkillers. I also don't believe that it was fear rp because i acted in a realistic manner. I do believe that the reported however was not being realistic with roleplay.

First, you can see in the video that when i kick the roof of his ambulance i OOC chat to tell him it was an accident(started clicking my mouse during a lag spike)  and he continues to roleplay as if i actually kicked his ambulance, completely ignoring what i said. I was also roleplaying wanting painkillers, there was nothing wrong with what i was doing.

Next, you can see that i want to steal his ambulance, something which is not against the rules. you can see when i pull him out, i get it, then you clearly see me glitch back out of the ambulance, during which time he pulls the gun on me. I did not see this firearm until i was already getting back on my bike ( was playing in first person) because of my perspective after i glitched out of the ambulance. (also i was under the impression medics could only carry tazers, due to a previous conversation with a medic, so i made an assumption this was not a lethal firearm, meaning that my choice was flee, and risk getting tazed, or stay and be arrested, so I was not thinking that my life was in danger)

Even if i had seen the gun right away, I believe my actions to be within the rules because what I did was the most realistic scenario. A medic having a firearm is not realistic, so I would have assumed it was a tazer(as previously mentioned), and even if i saw it was a real gun, knowing that I was fleeing, it was safe to assume a medic would not risk their job and freedom to commit a crime(shooting someone in the back) and that a medical professional realistically has sworn an oath to help people and that me fleeing was no longer endangering him so there was no risk to my life.

I was specifically warned before by an admin to make sure i was doing the most realistic thing I could, so that is what I did.

I would be happy to answer further questions, however it is pretty clear i did not break any rules, and that the reporter is upset that the realism of the roleplay was not in his favor.

Firstly, I would like to thank you for talking the time to reply. You pretty much stated the only reason i denied you painkillers was for the fact of kicking my ambulance, in which, I must have skipped over in the chat-box, as I don't remember reading that. The main factor which decided me to deny you painkillers was the fact that you said "Yo, Give me all your drugs or I'll beat your ass." Then after doing that you proceeded to try to get in my ambulance which was locked. From then that is when I decided that I was not going to give you painkillers, which we do have a right to deny. After me getting into my ambulance, about to leave to transport the patient that I had in the back you asked again, which I further denied once more. You started kicking my ambulance on purpose this time. I then got out of the ambulance, which you then ran back to your bike. After you ran back to your bike I then got back into my ambulance and was in the middle of locking it when you pulled me out of it. Which i then pulled my duty weapon out and gave you demands to put your hands up. You failed to comply with the demands that I gave you while there was a weapon aimed in your direction. Therefor that is considered Fear RP.

The part of you telling me that I was upset about it. I'm not upset about it. Its a server rule break. I'm not just gonna report someone because I'm upset. If i come across a rule break and I'm the main person involved I'm going to make a report about it. Yes sometimes I would try to solve it with the person involved in the report. But for something blatant like this is what changed that for me.

This is all i have to say, I believe I have furthermore explained everything that I can say.

I'm not going to be putting any more input on this unless I am asked too by either Awazki or Flucifial.

Thank you for your patience while we review this report.

Aldo_Steele, you will be receiving your 4th Non-RP punishment due to your breach of Fear Roleplay while also displaying very poor roleplay in this reported situation. Even if you were in first person at the time of the weapon being aimed at you, you would've seen it when you got onto the bike as it would've been aimed at close range putting you under direct Fear RP, however, you decided to speed off. Harassing EMS for painkillers in the middle of a public street is not the kind of roleplay we are striving for at ECLIPSE Roleplay.

You really need to be careful as you are now on thin ice with the amount of punishments you have, please re-read our rulebook in it's entirety before continuing on-to the server. If you disagree with our decision, you are entitled to a fair appeal under the punishment appeals section.

Kindest Regards, MrSilky & @Flucifial
