Player(s) being reported: ID 134

Date of interaction report: 2/8/2020

Unix time stamp from HUD: 1582074249

Your character's name: Riley Cripps

Other player(s) involved: ID: 51; ID: 89

Specific rule(s) broken:

10. Powergaming (PG)

  • Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions.

  • Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming.

  • All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay.

  • Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more.

  • A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC.

  • Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties.

  • If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP.

    • OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time).

    • RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7.

How did the player(s) break the rule(s):

Although he had new player tag, he was at a criminal activity zone and i was allowed to search him. The player did not respond to RP and i tried multiple different times.

Evidence of rule breach:

I have decided to deny this report and issue a punishment to following player:

  • Riley Cripps - Non-RP

In this situation the reporting party approached and attempts to rob a ((new player)) and then reconnects, upon reconnecting you continue to rob the player despite the fact he is being stabilised by a medic. I'd argue this is non-rp on three fronts.

One, you're attempting to rob a new player, them being near a drug lab does not remove their protection status. The new player only loses the protection if they have committed a crime against you or inset themselves into a crime scene, being near an area of criminal activity does not fall under these stipulations.

Secondly, robbing someone who is injured with minimal roleplay and with no RP cause to actually rob them is very poor RP and a very unrealistic reaction to seeing someone injured. You didn't say anything, you didn't react to them being injured, you didn't interact with them despite the fact the interacted with you, you just instantly initiated robbery RP, because your sole goal in this scenario wasn't to provide RP, it wasn't to create an RP scenario, it was solely motivated by your desire for loot. Loot RP is a very poor form of RP and it should never be your priority in any situation.

Thirdly, you robbed a player while they're being stabilised by a medic, which is again rather ridiculous and has been punished in the past as being non-rp.

This was a pretty poor impression to leave on a new member of the community, it says the only thing you was interested in here was simply loot. Ask yourself if your actions were realistic, could you see somebody in real life discovering an injured person, going up to them with absolutely no communication or interaction, and then mugging them while they're being treated by a medic? Is this something you'd feasibly see happen in real life.
