Automated Interactive /ame /me /do Suggestions

Recommended Posts

Some additions, modifications and suggestions of the many /ames we have or don't have we could use.

  • VEHICLES
    • Vehicle On - "/ame turns on the vehicle." (remove the name of the vehicle, identity of a vehicle should be based on knowledge of said vehicle.)
    • Vehicle Off - "/ame turns off the vehicle."
    • /togglewindow # - "/ame adjusts a window."
    • O - "/ame maneuver the <door name>."
    • /refuel - "/ame starts refueling the vehicle."
    • /stoprefuel - "/ame stops refueling the vehicle."
    • /siren - "/ame attaches a flashing emergency light to the vehicle."
    • /checkparkingpay - "/ame checks the windshield for a parking permit."
    • /eject - "/ame releases the door pushing <name/ID> out of the vehicle."
    • /dragout - "/ame pulls <name/ID> out of the vehicle."
  • BODIES
    • /carrybody - "/ame lifts the body."
    • /dropbody - "/ame puts down the body."
    • /storebody - "/ame stores the body."
    • /analysewounds - "/ame inspects (<name/ID>/ the deceased body's) injuries."
  • SERVICES
    • /newsagency - "/ame calls a news agency."
    • /mechanic - "/ame calls a mechanic."
    • CTRL+D - "/ame changes their uniform."
  • OTHER
    • /cuff - "/ame secures <name/ID> wrists behind their back."
    • /uncuff - "/ame lossens the cuffs from <name/ID>." (loosen for RP universability)
    • /drag - "/ame pulls <name/ID>."
    • /undrag - "/ame releases <name/ID>."
  • TOOLS
    • /voicereset - "/ame clears their throat."
  • MEDICAL
    • MD Dropoff - "/do <name/ID> is rushed inside for treatment."
    • MD Spawn - "/do <name/ID> is released from the hospital."
    • MD Spawn (cuffs) - "/do <name/ID> is release from the hospital cuffed to the bench."
    • MD Spawn (death) - "/me awakes from the hospital unsure of what happened."
  • -

I know there are a ton more I can't think of right this second. Add your own below and I'll add it to the list!

Things that have clear visual indications of what's happening, don't usually need an '/ame'.

I think you made a typo at the engine off part 🙂

for Newsagency and Mechanic I sometimes already use a /me for this, but I rather see a phone number added for those like DCC, PD/MD have instead of an ame pretending to call a number.

for the rest I like the idea. I also once said that /voicereset should have an ame "takes a cough drop", but maybe that's a bit too much xD

also maybe ame's for opening vehicle doors/trunks, getting on duty and refueling?

Yep, fixed, thanks!

Agreed, news and mechanics should have phone numbers, but this would give a quick and easy development fix.

Not a huge fan of the whole cough drop thing, but I like the idea.

I thought of the doors one, but not sure how that could be coded. I wonder if vehicles could have their own ame. If so, that whole thing could be expanded on and respond to who opens or interacts with the vehicle.

Another one that jumps to mind for the mechanic side is that when you /checkparkingpay the automatic /ame only shows up if the vehicle has a ticket of any form.   If there's no parking pay at all then no /ame is shown

  • BODIES
    • /carrybody - "/ame lifts the body."
    • /dropbody - "/ame puts down the body."
    • /storebody - "/ame stores the body."

We could use this so people don’t get ban for making Powergame

+1 overall,

The above section would solve the common powergaming issue that exists with moving bodies. If they are dead/injured it is highly unlikely they are in a state to resist, essentially making the "/do success?" useless.

TOOLS

  • /voicereset - "/ame clears their throat."

This is perfect.

Massive +1 as sometimes you don’t have time to do /me picks up body

What I wouldn't like to see is only "O" as it will literally spam the ame since its hard to pull off opening the correct door first try.

These commands SHOULD still have timers, but that's a different suggestion already.

These /ame's aren't intended to skip /me /do's only provide a little bit more to an action especially actions that don't have physical animations or clear indications of what you're doing as well as some universality and rewording..

Hmm interesting idea.

/<command>ame <what you want it to say>.

Yeah, we at PD already kinda do that with macros for things like stowing and drawing heavys from our cruisers and that sort of thing as you know. Could be nice to have a system like that for everyone

Very good suggestion +1. Also the part of /carrybody will be so helpful during the shootout. I can understand how people need to stop and RP that, but stopping during and active shootout gives advantage to the other party since typing will take a while + the /do of the injured individual could lead to your death for no reason

+1 Great suggestion, especially with this additional idea:
